    *****Boxing Podcasts Review Master Thread*****

As probably the biggest podcast dork on this site I thought I'd cut the bs with all the random podcast threads every 4-6 months & just make a universal boxing podcast thread to talk boxing podcasts from here forth.

I'll post reviews of podcasts I listen to & give heads up to new podcasts I've heard of & encourage everyone else interested in boxing podcasts to do the same.

To start with I'll throw out my top 10 boxing podcasts along with some honorable mentions & give a couple specific reviews of boxing podcasts in future posts.

My Top Ten Boxing Podcast List (in no particular order):

Boxing with Chris Mannix - high level journalist with great guests & thoughtful questions

Boxing Esq Podcast - business of boxing podcast & quality interviewer

The Fight with Teddy Atlas - if you dig Teddy you'll dig this, quality breakdowns & high level rants as you'd expect

Fistianados (Leave It In The Ring network) - business of boxing podcast with ex-HBO employee

Inside Boxing Live - solid show that has some intimate interviews

Showtime Boxing with Raskin & Mulvaney - new Showtime podcast with the ex-HBO podcast hosts, light, but quality show covering Showtime fights

State Of Combat - quality show thats light & fun

Sunday Puncher - the best fanmade boxing podcast out there

Talk Box - one of the more interesting boxing writers who talks to a wide variety of boxing people beyond who others talk to

3 Knockdown Rule - Solid mix of hardcore & casual fan takes on boxing

Honorable Mentions & Personal Lower Quality Favs:

Brooklyn To The World - Paulie Malignaggi podcast with his long time friend Peter Cards who can go on rants that Atlas would be envious of

Crime In Sports - not a exclusively boxing podcast, but a podcast that talks about crazy mfers from boxing quite often in a bio-like format covering their fights & crimes

Dwyer Boxing - the podcast version of his Youtube show, always interesting takes whether you agree with him or not & a golden voice which I could listen to all day no h#mo

The History of the Heavyweight Championship - Steve Bunce hosted breakdown of the HW title from 1960's til the present, year by year, just released the 70's a couple weeks ago

Hotboxin with Mike Tyson - fun show thats more about Tyson & his celebrity guest than boxing specifically

Rope A Dope Radio - long form call in show, a more fan friendly less argumentative version of Tha Boxing Voice

Undercard, Hand Combat Radio (Podcast Detroit network) - a boxing & MMA podcast thats directed towards combat sports in Michigan

The Unprofessional Boxing Podcast - new-ish podcast by long time Boxrec editor, BoxrecGrey that still seems a work in progress, but is promising thus far

The only ones i listen to are Sunday Puncher and Boxing Esquire.

Chris mannix is a shill and is only good when he has good guests. I would also killl myself before listening to a teddy atlas or a steve kim/mario lopez podcast. Ew

I really enjoy Sunday Puncher. The other boxing podcast that I listen to is fan made as well-- The Boxed Out Podcast and they're solid.

Bunce is my man. I listen to I think every podcast he's on which I think is 3 or 4 now.

And lol I get you on the 3 Knockdown breakdown. Steve Kim isn't for everyone, but I think Kim is a solid guy when he's not showing his biases &/or when he's up Arum's ass. Randomly I contend thats why Kim got the ESPN gig cuz he's been a TR fanboy before fanboying was cool & the thing to do. And Mario is the king of casuals in my mind, which I dig despite I know plenty of boxing fans hate

Mannix was hands down my #1 podcast for awhile, but yea I don't disagree at all since he's taken the DAZN gig he's been shilling for DAZN to a weirdo level. Getting cringeworthy at times, but overall I see him as a quality guy as long as the focus of the conversation isn't DAZN, pro- or anti-, cuz he gets too invested in DAZN sh^t these days.

Whats wrong with Atlas' show for you? You just don't dig Atlas?

I do hate that that mfer seems to have nose issues every show, but thats small sh^t & almost a pet peeve with noobs to podcasts that don't seem to get the sounds they make that show up when a mic is glued to you for 45-90 minutes.

I've not listened to Boxed Out in awhile. They are one of the ones I'm looking to review.

You listen to the New Age Boxing show ever? Hearing thats a quality show as of late made by fans, but haven't gotten around to trying it out as of yet.

You still doing your YT show btw? If so you should convert that over to podcasts. Seems like thats the thing to do these days with lotsa guys filming their shows for YT + putting the audio up as a podcast. Double down on it.

The Boxed out podcast makes me laugh- they are super funny. I have never heard of New Age Boxing, but I'll check that out.

Me and my guy haven't made a podcast in awhile. Our schedules got super out of wack, and he's been opposed to going to non YT route for some reason, even though that's the best way to get heard. I'll figure out something because I really miss podcasting

Good stuff, thx. I don't listen to any boxing podcasts but as a work at home guy, I really need to get into these.

I'll definitely check it out now. You should try out State Of Combat if you like funny. Those guys are cracking jokes half the show & got a board of sound bite drops they mix into the show to. A ton of which are Dwyer ones cuz that cat says so much unintentional funny things how could you not.

Odd decision. Podcasting seems easier than filming. And its obviously easier to have a high production sounding show then a high production looking show.

We should talk in a month or two when I'll have some more time than I've had lately if your okay with doing it with a random stranger online. I liked your show & it was one of the few I thought was quality on YT before the sheer garbage of YT stuff made me flee from there. I was talking to a NSB cat about doing a podcast, but right when I got a third party I respect a lot interested to be on the show to & was ready to get started he bailed & doesn't answer my PM's on here for some reason I don't exactly get. Feel like I got too high & MeToo'd him or some sh^t.

Similar for me. I do sometimes listen to the last round and pound for pound (the latter focus more on uk fighters) also though.
