Why is Golovkin's camp acting like he's been out 16 months or something? I get the soft opponent choice before the mega fight later in the year, but what's up with the catchweight? Dude just fought at 160 in September. Is he having trouble making weight? Really let go of himself during this time and got out of shape where he doesn't feel making 160 is worth it and it will take too much work?

this is probably why. golovkin is 37 bruh. 300+ amateur fights. 40 pro fights. he doesn't have a lot of hard training camps in him.

they'll train for [and get] a knockout. that's what the matchmaking is for. he goes back into the gym after a rest and he's back on track for a fight with canelo that could make or break dazn.
