No, the issue was to get Maidana to not wear commission approved glove but to wear orthopedic gloves, Maidana ended up wearing everlast powerlock which as the most cushion glove everlast makes.

A glove protection is not for a fighters face but a for a figthers hand, if a fighter has hand problems they wear more cushion gloves than those who dont have any hand problems.

as if chino was in position to reject the money. for him it was a chance in a lifetime, not like other fighters (mainly americans) who get shot after shot like for example broner. maidana at the moment wasn't suposed to be even there, he was suposed to be beaten badly by broner a fight before. plus his statement is not about floyd not leting him use his gloves, but about how someone (he thinks someone of his team) kept 500K that belonged to him.
