Logical fight for Pac. A lot of folks sleeping on Thurman after his mediocre performance on his last fight but he picked Lopez for a reason to shake off the rust. The guy is talented and quite dangerous fight for Pac at this stage. The winner should unify against Spence-Porter winner.

This is the logical fight to make for Haymon. If Pac wins against Thurman then the fight with Spence after that will be huge. Obviously this was a business move that makes sense.

          Yay.

Boxing will do everything it can to ensure that Thurman won't be facing, like, a top welterweight....ever again!

You guys are overrating Thurman. This is the same guy that went life and death with Shawn Porter before his 2 year layoff. The same Porter that got schooled by Brook and Ugas!

Shawn Porter has never gotten schooled by anybody. What fights were you watching? And Manny went life and death with Jeff Horn very recently.

I'm betting BIG points on this fight if it goes down next. Pac-Man's going to annihilate One Time! Hit me up before the fight.

I think life and death is a gross overstatement. Pacman won that fight clear as day, Horn was able to make it a rough and relatively competitive affair in the second half arguably due to illegal tactics.

PAC is washed, and probably loses to thurman at this point. but its just flat out wrong to say that about the horn fight

I think I'm more apt to avoid this one or bet the dog if the dog odds are nice enough. And I expect Manny to be the dog here but how much of a dog idk.
Thats where we differ and thats where i think is the deciding factor in the fight.

The idea that pacquiao is still this high volume combination puncher that rips off barrages of punches is a myth. Over the years, hes done a good job shifting his style to accommodate his physical decline.. he still is very active in the ring, moving weaving etc. but he doesnt pair that movement with the kind of combinations we used to see. its a lot more quick 1-2s and he uses his jab more to counter instead of blitzing guys.

in thurmans last fight, i think he threw around 600-700 punches? thats atleast a couple hundred more than PAC threw in his fight against a stationary broner. PAC is liable to get outworked by thurman if he cant hurt, or KO him. which i give him an outside chance to
