It’s amazing how GGG hype deteriorated since Canelo Rematch

This. He's fought only 3 times in the last two years. Two of those were the mega-fights against Canelo and regardless of how many of us feel, those count as losses on his record. So GGG has one win in two years against a last-minute replacement in Vanes. Some people were even speculating that GGG might retire.

That's not the type of record that generates excitement. GGG made a name for himself because of his power AND his sustained activity level. The guy fought 4 times in '13, 3 in '14 and 3 in '15. He just hasn't maintained that. If he came back and fought at that pace again - and won - his hype level would go back up.

The only reason his "hype" would ever have gone down is because of short-sighted fools and trolls on internet forums.

Has Canelo's stock dropped? GGG has been, and always will be a better fighter than Canelo.

He has been out of action for 7 months. Is that supposed to be unusual in boxing today with so many of the big stars and champions only fighting once or twice a year? Mayweather took 8 months off every year for many years. He is the star of as many hate threads as ever. TS makes sure of that.

What are you talking about? GGG fought twice in 2017 and twice in 2018. He will fight in June and then probably fight Canelo in September for two more fights and possibly a third fight in 2019. Fighting twice a year is the norm now and big stars rarely fight 3 times a year. The posters who dislike GGG would dislike him just as much or more if he fought ten times a year. Many disliked him his entire career.
How are both Canelo fights losses for GGG???? If nobody told you the first fight was a draw that you have somehow turned into a GGG loss.

                WAR DAZN!
Tbh, it's more to do with the robbery of the 1st fight and arguable draw in the 2nd fight, even though I think CONelo squeaked it out, than anything. Throw in the fact that you have so called fans hating on a network and you see the bigger picture

Other than that, he'll fight 6 times in the last 3 years, if he fights twice this year.

                  No robbery.

Future generations will wonder why GGG was justified to have fought conservatively with just a jab and have a disgusting miss rate. No risk taking knowing he would get countered. It should be lesson in prize fighting. GGG thought fighting Canelo was some tag-you're-it Amateur headgear type scoring. Judges saw that, and he's lucky Moretti went easy on him. Moretti knew the second time around not to fall for that crap and was disappointed for GGG's team claimed they would do in both fights.

Canelo gets criticized for fighting more defensively, but GGG gets no fault. Let's be real, it's all because of Canelo score card narratives.

I thought Canelo was going to fight exact same way in the rematch but land more shots to secure points, instead Canelo shocked everybody and still gets no credit, so let us move on.

I'm wondering if a lot of these guys have actually watched the fight since Canelo/GGG 2 aired. If you honestly believe GGG landed just jabs and hardly any power shots, either you have select memory or you just watch clips that show everything that Canelo landed.

You selectively mentioned the 2nd fight. Atta boy!
