  • People abandon fighters when they lose their zero. What else is knew. Boxing fans are the most fickle in sports.

He dropped Jacobs in a close fight and the correct decision was given (I was there). Competitive close fight.

He beat Canelo in a one-sided fight in their first fight. The best middleweight out there right? It wasn't even close.

He beat Canelo in a much closer competitive fight in the rematch.

Any hype that has been lost has been because of the ******ed trolls on this forum and the horrible officiating that continues to hurt fighters in boxing.

It barely matters that most people saw him winning both fights, despite him becoming old and Canelo being in his prime.

Once the controversial scoring becomes old news, people forget it and just focus on who got gifted the win.

Remember Mexican Style? That's why GGG couldn't KO Canelo the first fight and that's why he didn't throw more body punches? Canelo moved to much and just wouldn't fight Mexican Style lol Second fight not only did Canelo break his face and make his own trainer tell the world GGG didn't win but he beat the Mexican Style out GGG's azzz. Bullied him and made GGG tap out a Mexican Style fight that he begged for in the first place.
Nothing has changed about GGG. He's a good fighter, no doubt. He was just pumped by the HBO hype machine and wasn't as good as advertised. It happens all the time and people get surprised all the time.

      Lucian Bute?

      Victor Ortiz?

      Adrien Broner?

      Amir Khan?

      Tavoris Cloud?

      Peter Quillin?

Hypejobs happen all the time. That's not different. What is different are Gennadyovich's fans. They've changed. You people blame DLH, Ca$hnelo, HBO, Showtime, the World, Batman, Hillary Clinton, Obama, judges (even thought Borat and Sanchez PICKED THE JUDGES in the rematch), and even Floyd Mayweather (somehow).

That's the problem with Borat fans. They never hold their own people (or themselves) accountable - only others. Borat won the battle in the first fight, but round by round it was a draw (which was correct). Borat lost the battle and the fight round by round in the rematch. And that's not up for much discussion unless you give maximum benefit of the doubt and even then draw is Borat's best potential outcome.

Borat is a hell of a fighter. He's not ATG, but he's a good champion. You can't fight 5 champion opponents (past, present, future) in 40 professional fights with 1 of those champions being a WELTERWEIGHT. And this happened during an era with 4+ champions per weight class.

Borat also DUCKED BJS, Andrade, Dervenchenko, Lara, Canelo and Cotto at catchweights, Andre Ward, etc.

      • This motherphuker is now trying to fight Steve Rolls(who?) at a Catchweight. You literally can't make this shyt up. Canelo took this man's balls point blank.

        • He's 37 years old and has made a small fortune. Frankly it is hard to imagine how he should have done anything differently looking back on his career.

          • If you think GGG is overrated than Canelo must be in the same boat. They went fought life and death against eachother. If you diminish GGG you diminish Canelo.

Now you can enjoy all of GGG's fights on Canelo's undercards or main events on DAZN for only $19.99 a month or a yearly deal for $99.99

              WAR DAZN!
              Not for us real fans.

Two robberies doesn't make GGG any less of a monster. I'm still a fan and hes still the man to beat at 160.

Just like Fury didn't lose stock getting robbed to Wilder, and JMM didn't lose stock getting robbed to Pacquiao
