If Crawford Spence Happens in Q4 2019 / Most Likely Low PPV? Wait More?

We all know most of the PPV buys were by the latinos. Latinos don’t cry about prices or cry about DAZN amazing offers, so let’s assume Spence PPV buys were only 10%, Mikey pulled the 90%.

Therefore, if Crawford hasn’t done a high PPV himself, I predict Crawford vs Spence does no better than Mikey vs Spence numbers, maybe even lower.

I think Arum knows this. So Spence should fight Castano instead and seek a fight with Lara to get that Cuban work.

    And that’s all she wrote.

Spence will fight Porter & Thurman before he does Crawford. The Crawford fight probably won’t happen until mid-late 2020 at the earliest.

If it were to happen I think it do very well. I’d expect it to break the 500,000 mark

I don’t think so. The Spence fans that bought the PPV were just casuals hearing the commentary saying Garcia was smaller and won the moral victory, and it went 12 rounds without a knockdown. So expect those PPV buyers to stream Spence next or reduced to half. Crawford fans in the 100k at $80 max.

Spence does 220k Max as of right now. 2020, 400k.

Mikey Garcia was the one who pushed the PPV buys.

I can’t agree with that. I’ve been to both guys on individual shows. Spence heavily outsold Garcia. And he’s also had over a million viewers on nbc. Crawford has done great numbers on espn. 2 guys who can pull in over a couple million viewers against regular guys. Although bud certainly didn’t sell against pistol. But matching the 2 best fighters would attract a ton of fans on both the east and west coast. But I also doubt it happens this year which is a damn shame.

The reason why Haymon and Spence arranged Mikey was because of his numbers. Do you honestly think Spence wanted Garcia?

I think 2 things are simultaneously happening. Garcia’s selling power is being grossly overrated and Spence’s appeal is being underrated. It was a good match up with a good selling point. Idk if Spence wanted to fight Garcia or not, I’m not aquatinted with either, but I do believe that Spence was very much for fighting in his town, headlining a ppv and being in the spotlight. But most also understood he was going to win. So people were for the most part buying a event with the expected outcome. But I do think Spence abd Crawford sells very well this year. Especially with fox and espn handling the advertising

If the Spence/Garcia fight had been more entertaining it would have helped Spence's next ppv. Instead he'll probably fight Porter in a ppv bust.

I don't get how a series of crappy fights is supposed to actually build up a Spence/Crawford ppv.
