That is what we will get next, but I don't agree with that. They aren't told to say the same things. If they want something, they will get it. Mikey Garcia by no means was ever told to chase the Spence fight. In fact, Haymon brushed him off the first time and then asked him the second time what his father and brother thought of the fight. If Porter or DSG badly wanted Spence, they would have got him. The company line is a lazy excuse IMO.

I agree with you.
Haymon advises his guys but you can see that the final decision is made by the fighter and his team.
Because like you said, Porter or DSG could have already fought Spence IF THEY really really wanted to.

The same fighter who will decline a high risk low reward will not think twice about taking the SAME fight against the SAME fighter when he perceives it to now be high risk HIGH reward.

I was in Dallas for the Mikey fight.
Don't let these people lie to you.
There were Mexicans who had on Mikey gear but still cheering when Spence came out.
I got plenty of video footage proving this too.

Spence then called Thurman out again after his fight and Thurman was full of excuses despite being a nobody himself with his claim to fame being "I beat Robert Guerrero better than Mayweather did" (Total rubbish of course).

Why was it fine when that Thurman demanded Spence win a belt when he didn't have a belt himself?
