Well, Spence was the one who climbed into the ring to lay down a challenge when Porter won the title, guess Porter is trying to deliver on that promise. Hopefully the fight happens this year.

I agree 100%. A lot of guys are draws in their home towns. I'm referring to ppv.

Very few guys can carry a ppv on their own Spence isn't one of them, at least not yet.

I agree although i think Floyd & Pac were probably the last people that were able to pull off successful ppvs on their own. Pac vs clottey did a mil Bradley 1 & 2 did 800-900k
Floyd vs ortiz did close to a million floyd Guerrero even did about 600k
These were matchups nobody wanted or cared about with the opponents having zero drawing power

Spence is in the wrong era ppv stardom in boxing is becoming a thing of the past day by day

There’s no PPV fights out there for Spence outside of Crawford or moving up and fighting Canelo. Which I guess technically would likely happen on DAZN and not PPV.

Theres not nearly as many ppv worthy fights as there used to be for any fighter. Boxers in general just don't have the star power of the past. Things have gotten slightly better recently and trending in the right direction but IMO they won't ever get to that level again

Obviously, I hated the PPV model. Because for someone like me. I only subscribed to HBO and SHO for boxing. So it was like being double charged in PPV months. But I definitely liked it better than the streaming bull**** that’s going on now.

Not sure who PBC could get to stack the card. Joyce? Ortiz? The other guys worth watching either want to be a main event or co-main event

                      Seems like we're getting Spence-Porter and Pacquiao-Thurman.

Winners fight each other. Pac v. Spence would be huge. Winner (presumably Spence) then defends against Garcia or unifies with Crawford (who himself might've fought Garcia) to build his name against common opponents.
