This is a misleading quote because the writer did not quote exactly what the question was that wilder answered instead he put what he wanted and added the wilder quote I remember the interview but dont recall that being the question. Clearly the question had something to do with Pacquiao as well bc “He still has a ways to go, we’ll see. I get what Wilder is saying. I just don't think he has to fight them to be considered the best. Right now he is the best. If Thurman can get back to form and beat him then he can once again be considered the best. To me Crawford has the longest ways to go to prove himself at WW. There's no doubt he's a special fighter but Horn and Benavidez is not the measuring sticks.

Well, the funny part about your post is that Crawford has called out Spence. Directly to his face in fact. And Spence's only response was to literally ask why he should fight Crawford, when he can take an easier fight. I think Spence it the best in the division. I've felt that for over a year. But it doesn't matter what I feel. That's facts are he hasn't beaten the best in the division. Beating Pac or Mikey proves nothing. He has to beat Crawford Thurman etc. I think he will. We'll see what happens.

Imo, there is no way he beats Thurman & Crawford. Spence has that stationary/come forward style that these guys specialize in taking apart with footwork, feints and variety punching. Crawford will do a better job of neutralizing Spence because their outside fighting range is equal. Spence will have a hell of a time timing these guys and won't be successful enough to win on points....and he definitely won't get a T/KO. Crawford is ready now, Thurman is getting his groove back slowly but surely.....Imo, the 147lb "fight" is Crawford/Thurman
