As far as the belief that Oscar has bias against black fighters, anyone remember prior to him fighting Whitaker he referred to black fighters as cowards and said they couldn't take body shots?

If you listen to the full conversation, he said, Oscar put me in a tricky situation but I like Oscar. I made a love of money with Golden Boy.

You have to listen to the full interview, they like Golden Boy. He likes Golden Boy and Oscar!

They are also very close friends with Oscar those two.

You seem to forget that at that time, GB was pretty much ran by Shaffer, and it was him who dealt with those fighters. Same reason all those fighters still have a good relationship with Shaffer

I heard the entire thing, still doesn't prove he felt Oscar treated him "great" as claimed and if that were the case, he wouldn't have left. Most left when Schaeffer did and Oscar took over again. Coincidence?

Schaeffer stoled those fighters, there was a law suit and everything. Schaefer had to pay Golden Boy back.

¿Why? I know Spence said he wanted to fight Canelo in several occasions but he has business to take care at 147 and eventually at 154.

Schaeffer took orders from his boss Oscar De La Hoya (first ever boxer turned Promoter), but Schaefer was also misleading fighters. Still the fighters made a choice to leave and there is nothing wrong with that. Were I give praise to Oscar is the fact he let the fighters go without a fight and just released them.

I think he lost to Sturm, Mosely Bhop and Pac. But the rest should have been clear wins for Oscar.

Oscar was too busy getting Coked up & lost 90% of his top fighters because of it. Schaefer ran golden boy and nobody other than Canelo wanted to stay with Oscar.
