No doubt that Tyson had emotional issues stemming from his environment and upbringing. Remember that Tyson's dad left when he was 2 and his Mom died at 16 in one of the worst neighborhoods in the USA. That doesn't excuse all his actions. I believe the Atlas story and Tyson was way out of line. But he wouldn't be the first troubled teenager to try to force himself on a girl and he won't be the last. And remember that sort of thing was a bit more socially expected than today. Like driving drunk the first time wouldn't get you tossed in jail or cause you to lose your license, the expectations of the appetites of a teenage boy were given more leeway as well. I'm not passing judgement on that, just stating a fact.

As for the Desiree Washington case, I'd suggest you do some research. Judge Patricia Gifford was a domestic abuse advocate and should have recused herself from the trial. She was very biased. For instance, she refused to allow Wayne Walker to testify about how Washington had falsely accused him of ****. On the evidence there was almost nothing to convict Tyson, whose defense performed terribly during that trial and angered the jury. There is a very real chance that this was a case of malicious and incorrect prosecution. When someone studies this in depth is should scare the hell out of any young man because using this standard could convict virtually anyone engaging in consensual intercourse.

He's not going to do the research but to add on to that, Don King hired the law firm for Tyson and they were not a criminal defense law firm so they were absolutely unqualified to represent Tyson.

Are you crazy? Nothing would justify that except Holyfield biting off Tyson's ear. Tyson was an extremely dirty fighter and a biter who also bit Lewis on the leg at a press conference. In the history of boxing Tyson is the only boxer I know of that did that.

If it is in retaliation to an opponent breaking a rule like clinching punching behind the head purposely head butting clinch+head butt combo low blows elbows I'm ok with it and would encourage it sometimes the refs don't catch it or refuse to do their job it's refreshing to see a fighter take matters into their own hands holyfield got what he deserved

Yes, how delightfully refreshing for boxers take matters into their own hands by biting their opponents ears off. How about they just fight back with the same dirty tactics instead of something so drastic as biting off body parts?

I don't believe he was justified. I also don't believe Holyfield was justified for his tactics which were as bad though more acceptable because they were subtle in nature.

I also don't believe Mike ****d Desiree nor beat Givens. I think Mike was extremely immature and unsophisticated which made an easy target.
