Do you feel that Tyson was justified in biting off Holyfield's ear?

According to Tyson, Holyfield repeatedly headbutted him in the first fight and did it again in the rematch. He said he looked to the refs to take some points away or at least warn holyfield, but the refs let it go on. hmmmmmm.

Are you crazy? Nothing would justify that except Holyfield biting off Tyson's ear. Tyson was an extremely dirty fighter and a biter who also bit Lewis on the leg at a press conference. In the history of boxing Tyson is the only boxer I know of that did that.

Tyson was dirty as hell when Botha was frustrating him he was bending his arm in the clinches in a way that he could have broke it.

If it is in retaliation to an opponent breaking a rule like clinching punching behind the head purposely head butting clinch+head butt combo low blows elbows I'm ok with it and would encourage it sometimes the refs don't catch it or refuse to do their job it's refreshing to see a fighter take matters into their own hands holyfield got what he deserved

I don’t think Tyson was known to be dirty save the Holyfield rematch and Botha fight. Course the Holy fight was extreme and a way to get out of the fight. Despite what sum people will say, Mike was mostly straight up Queensbury rules and often looked to the ref to break it up in a clinch. He liked a little space and slamming into his opponent, and then being separated by the ref to try again. For a shorter HW he rarely ever punched too low. Still nobody wins a clash of heads against Evander.

Tyson was extremely dirty towards the latter stages of his career ...he would twist arms , carry on hitting them even if the ref was seperating , bite , he would hit on the break.... typical bully mentality and when he could not get the better of a fighter he would get frustrated and start throwing the dirt
