If the deal didn't come with a back end percentage then I understand, but if it did then he's no better than Joshua. I can respect people trying to maximize their profits, and I've said this regarding Joshua too, but as a consumer I simply don't care. Considering only 45% of total US PPV revenue goes to both(!) fighters, DAZN offer was idiotically good.
Just for Brazil fight, they offered 26M to both fighters (DW-20; DB-6). That's the equivalent of ca. 720K (realistic, not blown up) PPV buys.
For AJ fight +80M (if 50/50): That's the equivalent of 2.2M PPV buys.

You are only mentioning PPV revenue. There is more revenue that comes in from international broadcast, sponsorships, ticket sales and general revenue from concession sales. That is money that is left at the table by accepting a flat fee.

Yup I started to understand even more when it was disclosed that it was actually a 4 FIGHT deal and NOT a 3 fight deal like they originally said. You know what the big problem is,WILDER DOES NOT TRUST EDDIE HEARN AND THOSE AFFILIATED WITH HIM and with good reason.

This subscription model which apparently means you have to sign multi fight deals if you want to fight a particular fighter will not work with everyone especially if that fighter is happy where they are. Wilder does not trust anything Hearn affiliated and I can't say I blame him. He wants options and a 3 fight deal was a lot, a 4 fight deal? That's even crazier and learning the truth actually explains WHY Wilder is apprehensive to sign with them. They Lie...
