Imagine thinking this fight would sell 2mill ppv
when theres a potential 2 mil buys and 160mil in US ppv money on the table

Only PPVs to ever surpass 2 million buys:
Mayweather vs DLH
Mayweather vs Canelo
Mayweather vs Pacquiao
Mayweather vs McGregor
McGregor vs Khabib
That's it! Not even Mike Tyson was able to surpass the 2 million mark against the likes of Holyfield and Lewis.
So can this fight do over a million buys? Yes, that is certainly possible. Would have been more likely had Wilder beaten Fury in the rematch. But I'll buy it can do more than a million buys, sure. Price it at $85 and have it do around 1.2-1.4M buys and then have it do around the same in the UK? Then yeah, both fighters can make more than 40M, and closer to the 50M mark.Comment

potentially.....
do you go flat fee on a non ppv subscription model?
oh youll charge 20 bucks for a month subscription? oh nice...so your gonna leave potentially 60 bucks a head on the table?
so what if the 20 dollar price tag entices more viewers and it does 4 mil in subscriptions for the month? do the fighters, wilder in particular, get an upside cut?!?!?!
nope! he doesnt....LOL....Comment

bob arum just told you he was smart to turn it down....but you only believe bob when says als WWs are ducking Crawford right?!?!? right!!! LOL
DAZN showed their cards...they set the cap on the downside of AJ/wilder...that's what they offered wilder....the highest possible number that reflected their possible downside
theres more money for wilder to make in the ppv model and they know it...that's why they flashed a number and hoped wilder would jump...cept his people aren't that dumb...in fact they aren't dumb at all
DAZN wasn't "hoping" wilder would be worth 40 mil....hope is not used as a tactic...that's their projected downside if the fight doesn't do as well as they project..theyve shown their cards
50/50 and AJs getting his head blown off...and DAZN knows it which is why they were desperate to control the whole fight!Comment
