You never notice how once fighters reach a certain pay grade (usually it's when they start doing PPVs) they always have their own promotion company? You wouda noticed it with Spence and Garcia last weekend, GGG, Canelo... weird thing is we had people talking like these guys were actually somehow 'going it alone' rather than it just being the smart way to avoid taxes. You can offset a ton of expenses - camp etc and pay yourself as an employee of your own promotion. Pay corporate taxes on the profits your company makes and set your own 'wage' at something where the personal tax burden won't be too odious. Sure the US tax system is slightly different to ours in the UK, but much the same tricks are in play everywhere on earth.Comment

The real issue is: why does anyone have to bow to another promoter/network just to make a fight? Make a fair proposal minus trying to dictate another fighters career beyond YOUR ONE FIGHT and let the chips fall where they may ...
PS - Rematch 'clauses' kinda show some fear don't you think?Last edited by MastaBlasta; 03-28-2019, 11:41 PM.Comment

Anyone who has seen Wilder land a big punch KNOWS Wilder CAN beat him. Whether anyone believes he WILL beat him might differ person to person. The entire industry says it's a 50/50 fight, so who knows.

Eddie also said that AJ will fight Wilder on Showtime if they make him a better offer than DAZN.
And are you not aware that Wilder himself said he won't sign to fight AJ if he doesn't have a rematch clause?Comment

I applaud what Hearn said there. This should be about AJ vs Wilder for the undisputed HW title, not him vs Finkel, or PBC vs DAZN.
But if Finkel thinks he can "end Eddie's Empire" - those were Finkel's words, not Hearn's - then fine, go ahead, accept the fight and give it a try.Comment

In that same interview Hearn said that Wilder doesn't need to sign a multi-fight deal with DAZN to fight AJ. Skipper was willing to make him an offer for a one-off fight on DAZN against either AJ or Breazeale, but Wilder's team didn't want to even discuss those options.

Hearn wouldn't divulge what AJ was gonna make from DAZN, so how can Wilder offer him a better deal??
Per a one-shot flat fee, Wilder wants a percentage (%50 to exact), so I guess there is not much to discuss.
The one consistency from Team AJ is a lot of unfair, one-sided BS in their offers that Wilder just aint having. It derails everything, no matter what GOOD is included. Who does that? But says they want a fight?
Anyway, your comments are always twisted, off subject, and fan-girly. I agree to disagree with your nonsense, enjoy the fights (that do get made).Comment

You love to try and twist the truth. Wilder was saying that because 1st negotiation they included a rematch clause for AJ but not for Wilder, if either lost. So either everyone gets a rematch or no one does.

You said this: "PS - Rematch 'clauses' kinda show some fear don't you think?"
And I reminded you that Wilder wanted a rematch clause too.
