There's nothing illegal being done, so it has nothing to do with whether the IRS is ******.

Wilder looks like he has the worst skill set of the 3, but he has the most power of the 3, which is crazy, because he's the lightest of the 3! I think Joshua has a chance to take the lead if he convincingly beats Miller @ MSG! People disrespect Big Baby b/c he's fat, but that's ******! Fat, 42-year old George Foreman gave Holyfield fits, and 45-year old George beat Michael Moorer for the WBA, IBF and Lineal HW title!

It will be interesting to see who Fury fights next (I hope Dillian Whyte), and how Top Rank guides him to a title! They would have to either a) Rematch Wilder, or b) Force a purse bid with MatchRoom for a fight with Joshua! Arum won't voluntarily send him to DAZN!
        Agreed.....

Anybody making that level of money sets up a corporation to channel the money through, thus reducing the "purse" being paid to the fighter, and therefore reducing LOCAL COMMISSION TAX and sanctioning fees.

The corporation pays corporate tax to the IRS and the fighter pays income tax to the IRS, but the path of money is set up in such a way that the overall tax burden between local & federal, as well as sanctioning fees, is reduced.

Ever wonder why giant companies sometimes pay next to no taxes? There are all sorts of loopholes that are completely legal that reduce your burden. All top athletes do this, all millionaires do this. It would be idiotic to declare your full compensation as your purse for fighting when there are so many other, legal, ways to split up the loot that will reduce your tax liability.

Interestingly, let's say that this is true, why hasn't Wikder stepped up and said "no...I want this fight, do the deal"

Y'know why not? Cos he doesn't want the work lol.
Wilder wants to be paid accordingly. I am no fan of manager on either side I believe that if Hearn wants to be transparent he should 100% put out what Joshua is making with DAZN or what they are negotiating for. Why would Wilder take 3 fight 100 million and then when his ink dries Joshua signs a contract 3 fights at 300 million. That would be the equivalent to a 25-75 split of a 400 million pot. Even if it was 200 million. 33-67 split of a 300 million pot. Crazy Eddie just wants everything on his terms and when he doesnt he goes crazy.

Can't argue against anything Eddie Hearn said here. Wilder and his management never wanted to fight. All the talks were just stunts. Now, we know why they won't agree to meet or sign the contracts. As Eddie said its about the fight not the umbrella or promoter. Not sure SHOWTIME has 120m to give Wilder though

Please share with me such fights this takes place and I will breakdown the pot in such a fights why some of the figures claimed was nonsense. In principle what you say makes sense but it is not as cut and dry as you say.

When Mayweather claims he makes a 100 million in a fight he is not privy to this sensitive information?

The game is to be sold, not to be told. I'm not going to give you a full walk through of every trick. I think I've given enough of a general idea.

The sanctioning bodies have caps on their sanctioning fees and Mayweather's purses are so high that even if he files at half or a third of the true number, his sanctioning fee is still going to be the maximum anyway. Not to mention 100 million was already half or a third of his true number to begin with.

You also notice the 100 million check is Mayweather Promotions paying Floyd, so he's essentially paying himself. He's already a Nevada resident, so in terms of the local taxes, there's no incentive to play with the numbers on that stuff.

As for commission tax, Nevada is 8% of the ticket sales, so less incentive to play with his purse beyond the normaly halving or thirding.

That 'End me' line sounds cheesy as hell, but i agree with most what he's saying.

Finkel talking about ending Matchroom's empire is silly, it's a fight between Joshua and Wilder, it's not personal.
Hearn also says instead of him talking about Wilder KO'ing Joshua, put them in a ring and let's see it. Yep, spot on again.
