They don't know the history of the sport, which is why they don't understand the phenomenon named Al Haymon! They can relate to Arum, to Hearn, even to Don King (maybe it's the flag-waving), but they hate seeing fighters running their own thing, and most of all they hate hearing, over and over again, "I wanna say thanks to Al Haymon.."

The question is, and they never want to answer it, is WHY they hate hearing that about haymon....ie WHY DO THEY HATE HAYMON?

WTF you talking about? Finkel has been extremely unprofessionally, not answering calls etc. It is clear that he us using Wider's belt to avoid Hearn making a big splash in the states. But he can't push back the tide. The Engkish are here and will help fighters get paid fairly and have promoters working in their best interests.

The English are here to help but if a fighter doesn’t want their help get ready for thousands of limey chav trolls trashing them online....no thanks. I think the Americans are fine running their own country without the “empire”

People seem to forget that AJ isn't fighting Wilder next, he already was scheduled to fight Miller. ESPN and DAZN just want Wilder to fight on their platform first to boost subscriptions. If both DAZN and ESPN are serious about making a fight with Wilder, make an offer when their fighters are free to fight and not tied up. Make the fight happen where their will be more revenue generated, simple as that. Hearn just crying because Wilder didn't sign to DAZN so he can brag about it as if it was his signing. Same thing he did with Canelo

Did you even read the quotes? He specifically took offence to Finkel stating that Wilder beating Joshua would end Hearn’s business.

The entire point of Hearns comments were that Wilders managers are focusing on entirely the wrong stuff. It’s a fair point, why on earth do those guys give a darn about his business, they have their own boxers to manage.

This whole game has been about Haymon. The guy runs the sport in the US and his shadowy deal making is being threatened and he’s on the defence. His fighters simply don’t control enough titles at the moment and if he backslides much further he can’t manipulate the game any more.

How Haymon has any loyalty at all is beyond me, but he’s super smart, he never screws the actual boxers over, so they stay loyal, he just rips off the boxing public by stopping fights happening and somehow being involved when results are ‘surprising’.

I can't call it. Hell their model doesn't seem to make a profit at all unless they are including all of the money they make on dazn in other nations too, while not paying the fighters from that revenue. But from what it sounds like then DAZN makes the pot smaller for all parties involved so why sign in that case?

It’s clear they have made no profits. They are absolutely inthe red, so many millions going out and nowhere near that coming in. Obviously they are not making money with gayes outside of the Canelo fight because hearns shows are empty. No one cared about the Joshua fight in the USA, the subscriptions arnt there and won’t be there as long as there’s no required minimal sign up, it’s also been reported there are now commercials....which means they needed revenue. This is the reason they want wilder and willing to spend 9 figures to get him....they want all those folks who bought that ppv, and who tune in 1m+ on showtime.
Obviously dazn is in it for the long haul mindset because there simply isn’t any profit right now. Hearn conned dazn into thinking he could take over all the big names from PBC and that hadn’t happened so far
