I think Eddie and the team erred earlier on in negotiations last year, but lately, yes, it looks like AJ is chasing after Wilder and Fury, and they, or their management, don't want the Joshua fight anytime soon.

Eddie is right. Haymon and Finkel are as scared of him and DAZN as Wilder is of AJ.

A promoter's job is to promote his fighters, giving the paying public the fights they want, which generates their clients(and themselves) the most money.

In this day of rent-a-quote social media there is too much light on the promoter, when it should be shade.

Publicity should be the preserve of the pugilists.

These days it would seem that even the promoter's have acquired a fan base of their own who hang on their every word.

Eddie's 'Empire' was built on the solid foundation of his father Barry, who was very effective in the 80's of doing the job description outlined above.
