Was Mikey Garcia exposed?

A little bit yes, i'm a fan of Mikey but Spence didnt just win because of his size, he was out-boxing Mikey, throwing varied combinations and was elusive. Basically he did what I thought Mikey would try to do against him.
Mikey is a great fighter but he was also hampered by the weight (looked sluggish both in hand speed and movement).Comment

(bolded)"Exposed" is a term overused by casuals. Mikey to me didn't show me anything I did or didn't know about him. The fight was a mismatch and he was as successful as I thought he would be.
My take on Mikey: He's an excellent fighter, but I'm not that blown away by his 4-division stuff because he's never really been #1 in any of those divisions (maybe he was briefly at 126) but he never fought the #1 at 130, 135, 140 and I don't even know that he fought the #2 or 3 even. He was carefully matched and guided facing slow footed opponents who'd come forward and had limited defense and power. In Spence he fought a beast and the result was a disaster but most felt it would be because Mikey was never going to be in that fight. I'll be really impressed by him if he's able to dominate a division and beat some variety of styles like movers, slick defensive types because I consider him very basic, he has an excellent one-two but not much else, slow feet and limited head movement. It's why I felt he'd be routed by Crawford and dominated by Lomachenko.
So I'm not ready to write him off just as I wasn't ready to anoint him. He's a top 10 p4p guy but I'd say he's 9 or 10 and will never be top 5.
End of thread really. That's all that needs to be said.Comment

You mentioning an old shot paulie that went to a split decision. You must be a troll. Now trying to downplay wins at 140/147 while trying to pretend Broner has ever done anything to be considered good at any of the two welter divisions. Neither Broner nor Mikey have ever beaten a good boxer in their respective careers. I shouldn't have to explain that beating washed up has been fighters does not count especially when the best you can muster is a split decision.Last edited by Mister Wolf; 03-21-2019, 11:37 AM.Comment

He didn't get exposed, HE GOT WHOOPED. I kept hoping Robert would stop it in the 10th round cause Mikey couldnt do anything to Errol. He was just too big and skillful for Lil Piņata Garcia. Mikey still good below 140 so no he didnt get exposed. I dont see anybody below 140 beating him.Comment

Paulie wasn't old and shot at the time. That shows what you don't know about boxing and also saying that neither Mikey and Broner have beaten a good boxer is pure ignorance. This is a waste of time due to your lack of knowledge. Bye YDKSABYou mentioning an old shot paulie that went to a split decision. You must be a troll.
