Mikey said that he added weight in a way that allowed him to keep his foot speed and mobility. That was clearly not the case. Even when in range, he never unleashed the type of volume/combination he did against say Broner. I still have the utmost respect for Garcia because he actually challenged himself and didn't take the safe road to protect his 0 and win the Manny lottery!

There are plenty of big fights at 140. Lomachenko can fight Teofino and wait for Tank (Tank just want's to create a big payday a la Manny vs Floyd, but without putting in the work so a lost cause IMHO).
Bro watch the fight again. There were times where they were in the pocket and Mikey tried to unload a combination and Spence would counter him mid-combination with his own combination.

Also Spence's punches come from everywhere man and from every single angle. Spence would start a combination in the southpaw stance and end it in the orthodox stance. Sometimes he would go southpaw, orthodox, and back to southpaw again while throwing a series of punches, body head, hook, straight left, cross right, right hook, left hook to the body, jab, double jab, combo again.

Every time Mikey tried to open up he got stopped in his tracks with stiff jabs and combos. Man watch the fight again and pay attention to what to what Spence was doing.

PS. Until this fight, I had no idea Spence was a switch hitter. And I like that unlike Crawford, he doesn't have to move back, reset himself, and then switch stances. He switches mid combinations and actually lands clean punches in the orthodox stance.

and folks were bursting out, when I said Mikey is ducking Loma. he won't fight him aftermath.

hell no you ****** commie, Mikey is chasing greatness. most of replies i got.

Teofimo Im a superstar, hasn't fought anyone with a heartbeat, ain't waiting on that dancer Vasiliy. Moving up into 140, Loma is a duck.

Tank, let me grow my balls just a bit more, I will be ready, I promise. I'm already giving Loma english classes on Insta.

everything is so obvious, but no... Mikey chasing greatness, he didnt get koed doe. Lasted 12 rounds and in fact, while Loma was in hospital Mikey did said he was ready for him.

wonder what type of fans of this brilliant sport, we'll have in 10 years

Much respect to García and yeah he looked foolish but @ least he got in the ring.

Porter almost lost to Ugas for 1.2 million and Thurman was almost stopped by Josesito López for 500K.

Mikey made 3 million and took punishment as most expected but so did Thurman and Porter.

That's why it was so baffling why they didn't just stop the fight. Did his corner expect him to score a late KO to end the fight?

No one should expect him to now go and do all that it takes
to drain his body down to 135 for fight that he will need to be in optimal shape to win. I don't blame him for not wanting to put his body through all that especially since he just had such a hard fight.
also don't underestimate the mental aspect of such a devastating one sided loss

Mikey looks like a chimichanga on steroids at 147. He's gotta drop the fat and beat up a tomato can or two before thinking about a big fight again.

He does a lot of flashy stuff with his movements and footwork. And all that covers up the fact that he makes a lot of technical errors and puts himself into bad positions.
1.Im sorry but are that already excuses for if the fight should happen and Mikey lost, the story would be "he's not the same anymore?

2.If he really makes some many technical errors he would have never won so much in the amateurs, someone who makes a lot of technical errors doesn't have high chances winning the olympics i suppose, let alone win it two times, else every nobody could win a gold medal

Also if Loma has so many technical errors as you are suggesting, it should be no problem for Garcia to beat him, even if he's not the same, because like you're suggesting, Loma is not just that good in your eyes.
