Mikey should have picked someone easier at 147, shame on Spence for taking the fight too but Mikey could have kept his record and taken a belt home. I guess that was his whole point I guess taking a challenge etc.

Spence cuts about 30lbs from walking around weight. Mikey would have trouble cutting 10-15lbs to get to 135? If he doesn't fight Loma, we all will know why.

Some fans here are hilarious. They leave out the part where lomachenko was a lightweight (132lbs) in the amateurs. For how long he is been in the pros? Five years going on six? They are the same size.

No, they said Linares would walk through Loma, would be too big, too strong, etc. Instead, he damn near quit. And Mikey would do the same.

Edited to show all that matters. Mikey doesn't like the jab even if it doesn't have power because he isn't going to do jack about it thrown in his face, as we saw with Spence. Spence was throwing with power and Mikey was still tentative. Loma will at least put snap on it.

Mikey made 3 million and took punishment as most expected but so did Thurman and Porter.
you are right. A least he dare to be great. Ugas should have been the victor.

If Mikey isn't killing himself to make the weight than why not make the fight? We've been served up plenty of poo poo platter matchups lately. Can we get one that we actually want?

I don't understand the science of weight cutting but from what I've heard it's not easy. Mikey won't be able to come down 12 pounds that easily because that's muscle mass he packed on and he'd have to get his body accustomed to the change again. I think he should slowly go back down if anything. Maybe take a comeback fight at 140 against a light touch and then 138 and so on. I think he should face at least one soft touch if not two before facing a top name again. Mikey was just not Mikey at 147. The added weight really didn't alter his abilities.
