You can't be this ******; why would BT Sport put up $50m for a fight that Team Wilder specifically talked of staging in the US, knowing that the biggest British fight in the history or Britain didn't even earn $50m?

If Hearn wasn't confirming the info that he got from Wilder as being legit, what was he asking Haymon about?

Frank Warren, out of his own mouth, clearly stated that BT funded the $50million offer because they wanted control of the UK screening rights.

I heard Warren saying that and I posted links to the interview here, as did several other members. Can you give me one sane reason why Warren would say such a thing if it wasn't true?

DAZN has offered Wilder $40m to fight Joshua, and who knows how much is on the table to Joshua (Joshua's getting $30m for the Miller fight, so hopefully he's getting offered $40m for his own end).

75000 units @$75/$65 per unit gets you over $5.5m; rough cuts and all that, you're talking about an extra $2.7m to split up (with still no count for the PPVs that Showtime sold directly to the consumer online).

An extra $3m to split up, on top of the $4m guaranteed that was covered, for a camp that is supposed to be 'Joe Blow Heavyweight that no American knows' with no money earned? Yeah, that's pretty significant.

Significant enough to move from $15m as recently as December 2018 to now being offered $40m for the same fight now.

wilder is so popular and his ppv did so well that his next fight is on normal showtime. the same guys telling him to turn down 100 million arent even confident in him beign on ppv unless he has another huge star

Joshua will see the interest that Wilder is drawing, see the UK support that's still backing, see a third empty Madison Square Garden, and he'll remember that Deontay Wilder's camp was ready to pay him $50m against half of the take on a blockbuster, to take the leap on a 50/50 fight where he had as much a chance to KO Wilder as he did.

The calendar says that that IBF mandatory defense letter is coming soon, and calls will be made.

The pie will be split (closer to 55/45 Joshua than 60/40 Joshua), the fight will happen, and who gives a **** how much Wilder would get on his share because he'd be getting his defining chance.

Win and he's the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world; lose in a good/great fight and he gets a second shot at the undisputed title.
