Did Spence hold back to carry mikey to a decision?

Not at all... He went for the KO a few times and Mikey took it. I thought he could have finished him to.the body. Mikey didn't like those hard body shotsComment

He said in post-fight, he was surprised Mikey was able to take his shots. He was trying to punish Mikey...he just never hurt him bad.Comment

No, Mikey's defense was pretty good. I had to laugh when somewhere in the middle of the fight between rounds they wanted to show some action from the previous round. They showed Spence throwing a combination but when they slowed it down it was apparent that not a single punch penetrated Mikey's guard.Comment

Seemed to me that Spence was cautious in the early rounds. He was imposing his will and didn’t see the need to take chances. When he felt Mikey soften up he stepped up the aggression. You could see the ebb and flow of Spence’s effort. He pressed for the KO a couple of times; but when Garcia resisted, Errol was content to inflict punishment.Comment

No he didn't...no boxer holds back unless his opponent is in serious health danger.Comment

He went for the ko several times, even in the last two rounds when he could have coasted, jabbing and staying outside. Mikey has a very good defense and a pretty good chin, I'd say.Comment

He def didnt hold back. He wanted the stoppage and went for it. You have to give credit where its due, Mikey although he was out gunned was able to do some small things to keep from getting his head taken off. He did get caught with some good shots but he wasnt eating combinations cleanly.Comment
