I couldn't see how Mikey could win this fight, the only thing making me doubt myself was his confidence. It was clear from the first round that Mikey hadn't "seen" anything. His strategy seemed to be to let his hands go in the last 10 - 20 seconds of the round and then celebrate after the bell in an effort to steal rounds. He was doing this right from the beginning which told me he had nothing, no actual game plan and he certainly didn't see anything in Spence he can expose. This was a cash grab.

I agree, I think he now retroactively looks arrogant and delusional. (I think he did all along, but hopefully now it'll be clear to the brainlets who were dumb enough to think this was a real contest.) I was gonna say he looks just as ****** as Brook and Khan did after their suicidal weight-jumping adventures, but honestly both of them were more competitive in those fights even though they were both stopped, so this might actually be worse. He wasn't just out-muscled and beaten up, he was totally outclassed as well. I had Mikey at no. 3 P4P prior to this fight, and while I think a P4P fighter is always going to drop in those rankings with a loss, I think it's possible for them to retain a position in the top 10 provided their loss was a competitive loss to another P4P level fighter. This was in no way competitive and I think he should drop all the way out of the top 10 until he can string some good wins back together, hopefully at a sensible weight.

Can call it chasing greatness but if u call someone out, say youve 'seen something' and then proceed to lose every round then you dont deserve a pat on the back. Smaller man or not, when youve been beat that badly the aura has completely gone and casuals will associate him with stinking out the place against spence. It was a nice payday for him but its hard to know where he goes from here. A lomachenko garcia fight wont be that big any more and if it does he will be the firm b side, what does mikey even bring to the table? Not a great cv thats for sure. Even khan gave canelo a few problems early, mikey literally did nothing and even though he went the distance he gave a worse account of himself imo. Was harsh on spence in the build up but he had no problems in the fight, easy payday for him,hes probably laughing at people who spent money on it based on a promotion built around mikey 'seeming confident' and 'Leonard duran doe'

Agreed even Brook won a few exchanges vs a prime GGG Garcia did absolutely **** all he looked horrible.

Garcia didnt embarrass himself , he just bit off more then he chew fought a guy went up against a Beast , who was bigger and stronger and showed why no one in his weight class wants anything to do with him.

He lost convincingly but went the distance and didn’t get dropped or boot f.ucked like every other Spence opponet .

Yeah, everyone gets things wrong with predictions etc but it was alarming how many people thought mikey could win or that it would be close. I told people it was nothing to look forward to and i got slaughtered and called a casual. Spence was 1/8 favourite wirh bookies for a reason initially before people started lumping money on garcia

What exactly is mikey's career?

He won his first title on a technicality, could not make weight, beat Martinez which was decent and then did nothing for years.

If your best win is either Salido or Easter then that is not much of a 40 fight career for a guy the wrong side of 30.
