Spence should get some credit, not as much as he would get for beating Crawford but it would still be a solid win. Also, I remember people actually accused Lomachenko of ducking Rigondeaux, and that Arum would never make the fight. A lot of revisionist history on this forum.

I will give Spence very little credit for beating Mikey which is still more than I gave Loma for beating Rigo. Mikey isn't 37 and inactive and was a champ in the divions just below Spence's, which Rigo wasn't. This is not Canelo-Khan or Golovkin-Brook either. Spence better bring his A game.

Loma never claimed credit for beating Rigo. Spence on the other hand has said that beating Mikey makes him P4P #1. Hopefully that was just some pre-fight hype

Loma weighed 137/Rigo 130 on fight night which are decent weights for a 130 and a 122 pound fighter respectively. I'll be interested to see the percentage difference in weight between Spence and Mikey tonight. I expect it to be similar.

My answer is: if you picked Rigo you’ve got to own that and give credit if you picked Loma you are entitled do rate the win accordingly. Same with Spence. If you pick Mikey you’ve got to give credit. The amount of people picking Garcia is a lot smaller though which shows Loma’s haters are far more irrational. You know, picked Russell to send him into retirement, gave no credit, picked Walters to pole axe him, gave no credit, picked Rigo to do what he pleases, gave no credit etc;
