2 different scenarios. loma wanted the fight when he was at 126 and rigo at 122. rigo wanted a cw and a rehydration clause. then, when loma was at 130 is when rigo wanted to make the fight happen. if rigo is an idiot is not loma's fault.

Of course not but Who Cares! Mikey wanted this fight and he deserves all the respect in the world for really doing this fight. I thought originally that Mike was bluffing when he made the call out but he followed through with it when he could've easily stayed at 135 and taken Richard Commey and still made good money.

Win or Lose I'm still a fan of BOTH, the winner goes on to Bigger things maybe the Pacquiao fight or unification with Shawn Porter or Thurman. The Loser...if it is Spence Jr he likely gets a rematch or maybe move up to 154, if it is Mikey then he moves down or fight a Welterweight close to his size he might still get the Pacquiao fight at 144 or something like that

It'll actually be a more impressive accomplishment to beat Mikey than Loma beating Rigo.

Mikey isn't ancient.

And, Mikey has fought more at 140 his last 5 fights than lightweight so all this talk of him coming up two weightclasses is misleading, albeit technically true.

That said, if all Errol does is bulldoze Mikey with size and strength- the way Canelo and G did the lighter guys they fought- then it's fair to say that Spence should not get much credit for that.

But, if Spence dominates Mikey- say, the way Floyd dominated JMM- then yes, he absolutely will deserve all the accolades he will be given

So you probably picked Rigo as did a LOT of like minded folks and then gave zero credit now you are picking Spence and are begging for him to get credit. See how hypocritical that makes you?

My answer is: if you picked Rigo you’ve got to own that and give credit if you picked Loma you are entitled do rate the win accordingly. Same with Spence. If you pick Mikey you’ve got to give credit. The amount of people picking Garcia is a lot smaller though which shows Loma’s haters are far more irrational. You know, picked Russell to send him into retirement, gave no credit, picked Walters to pole axe him, gave no credit, picked Rigo to do what he pleases, gave no credit etc;

C'mon man...yes there was hate (almost always is)...but people were calling Loma p4p #1 after that rigo fight. If im not mistaken they even tried to say it on ESPN. Lets not have revisionist history here
