  • Here's What I Think Happened With Wilder and DAZN

so... here's what i think happened:

    - wilder saw news of fury's deal, and subsequent cancellation of their fight. wilder loses it. he goes ballistic on two fronts. first because fury gets a contract before him, and second because fury makes him look like a fool.

    - Wilder then receives an offer from top rank. threatens to accept unless he gets a similar deal from fox/showtime.

    - Al haymon/shelley finkel start working on something for him, alongside getting the breazelle fight ready. Wilder says he is "network free".

    - right around this time, eddie sends and publicizes more offers to wilder and finkel, putting pressure and backing them further into the corner.

    - finkel gets on a podcast claiming he's not speaking to eddie anymore because of a weird case of phone tag.

    - Eddie sends an offer to wilder, finkel and haymon to meet directly with john skipper to discuss a new deal. finkel and haymon never show up to the meeting.

    - lou dibella is probably tired of all this and somehow, convinces wilder hear what skipper has to say. he likes it, and then demands that haymon/finkel meet with skipper. hearn is "removed" from talks.

    - around this time, pbc finalizes a deal for wilder and the breazelle fight, announce it on ppv. the whole world is stunned. now they have no choice but to go hear Dazn out, which they do. the face-saving continues.

    - wilder says it's "not goodbye" to showtime, and heads to the dazn meeting. hearns not there, so no excuses. they leave with the offer, but know they won't take it. wilder is suckered into accepting a lesser deal with someone else. they probably told him that he could fight 5 fights and not lose the wbc belt and earn more than 100 mil because pbc will pick the opponents.. they probably told him that if he goes to dazn, they won't let him fight joshua to earn that 100mil. of course he believes them.

    - within 24 hours, pbc announce a presser for next tuesday. this had to be done quickly before wilder got cold feet. word gets out that they turn down the deal. of course, AJ is blamed.

You wrote all this over Wilder money? Lol. That would sound good if the Fury contract was real. He’s not getting more than 7-8M a fight.

My prediction, Dillian Whyte threatens to bankrupt the WBC unless he is made the next mandatory after Breazeale. And if Breazeale doesn't **** out wilder, he will. Problem solved.

doesn't matter how much fury is getting. wilder didn't even have a fake offer to publicize, at least until monday/tuesday.
it's a sad narrative if your WBC belt holder can't even get a good long term guaranteed committment from a network, but some troubled retired fighter from another country get it before him.

this is actually what i wished Eddie would do from the jump. the moment you see wilder is playing games, play your own games. wilder can be forced on dazn or to london to fight if eddie would sign the next 2 or 3 mandatories for the belt.
eddie should never mention wilder or any deal with him again until he has a set purse bid he's participating in, because that's the only way eddie and wilder/finkel would ever be in the same room.

He’s been offered more money than Fury. He’s offered 100M for 2 fights from DAZN. And 12.5 guaranteed from ESPN. Where have you been? Do some research before you do a thread in a man who has more money than your entire lineage

Hes just not a crackhead like Fury who will jump at the first thing someone offers him
Fury actually wasn’t offered anything they sought out that deal so it wouldn’t make it seem like he was ducking. ESPN would never offer a drug addicted PED cheating boring unknown fighter a contract of that size. Even Arum said it was bs.

Nice fantasy. What happened is Wilder realised Finkle is blocking meets he went around his team to take a meet with DAZN, but ultimately pointless as Wilder has already signed a slave deal with Haymon, plus neither Wilder nor his Haymon want to fight Joshua this year. The end. Biggest fraud in heavyweight history in biggest duck in boxing history.

How would he sue when he’s the reason he’s not facing Wilder? WBC will just pull out receipts showing cheater Whyte cried and pulled out of an eliminator for a chance at Wilder because he was scared

Then Pulev should sue Dillian Whyte and Eddie Hearn. Cheater Ortiz should sue them also.

Just a guess but possible they agreed to do a last Showtime/Fox fight (Breazeale) and then begin a DAZN deal after that. Satisfies certain loyalties while giving more time to negotiate the finer points of the DAZN contract.

Wilder went there with intent on signing. In the end it was Finkel manipulating the situation of Wilder not signing. The sudden announcement of tuesday must be Haymon and Finkels back up plan in letting wilder run his own show as long as they are attached to it ? In other words convincing wilder he can become his own promotion of sorts and that's the big announcement.? IDK ,this seems the next way to dodge the fight, where they themselves have top let Wilder believe he's running the show now. They will of course be the brains behind Wilders shows if this is happening as the big announcement .
