I agree with the guy above. DLT's acting like Rivera is some scrub on the street who won't be able to touch Spinks. He's going to kill Spinks just like Mayorga should of without those BS deductions.

I was very disappointed at Spinks in the Karmazin fight. I thought Spinks was gonna totally dominate the fight with superior boxing skills, but then started wearing out. Against a guy like Rivera that could be fatal in the fight. Keep in mind Rivera has POWER at 154, he dropped Terra with a jab! I can't imagine what he would do to glass jaw Spinks if they get it on.

Roman had clue at all how to fight a southpaw and he STILL wore Corey down.. Jose knows how to fight technically and he will wear..a...man... DOWN!!

I would like to see Alcine take on Spinks. It won't happen but it would be a step in the right direction for Alcine.

let's just hope Rivera loses his title off TV to someone that matters. better yet, he vacates it realizing who he is, then Spinks and someone like the Forrest-Quartey winner can fight for it.

With fair and competent judging we are discussing an interview right now with Karmazin's manager instead of Cunningham.
I totally disagree that the fight should've been a draw, that's crazy talk, imo. Yeah Spinks lost the last round, no doubt, but he won AT LEAST 7 rounds, and I could've seen 8 rounds in his favor. Karmazin didn't ever step on the gas when Spinks tired out in the 2nd half and he deserved to lose.

I think you wanted Spinks to not win because of his ring entrance, which you have way too much problems with imo.

You're a former world class fighter yourself. Would you have really let something like a little insignificant ring entrance keep you from winning a fight? I'm not saying it would've helped you, no way, it IS a distraction, but you come off as if you want guys to lose when they have intricate ring entrances. Or at least, it appears that you hold it majorly against them even if you don't want them to lose because of it.

I haven't thought much of Rivera so far, but if you say he's good I guess you know what you're talking about, so we'll see. He just seems a little raw to me.

Actually I was kind of pulling for Corey, I always liked him. As far the ring entrance. It TAKES AWAY from boxing and it is safe to say that the average PPV ticket buying fan does NOT want to see that over and over. As far as Jose... you see, Jose is not a slick, flashy fighter etc and in many peoples mind they take that as a bad thing... but what he had on his side is something that so called better fighters often do not have... Jose has that will, the drive, no fear, willingness to get hurt to win. His conditioning is second to nobody and his tenacity is impressive. He will beat better skilled fighters because of it, too.

Thank you very much for the reply, champ. Yeah, Rivera's style just isn't my favorite.

I think its great btw that you take time to be in here among all us nobodies. I've seen you all over the various boxing sites out there. If my little boxing show ever takes off, I'll gladly plug the hell out of your book or anything for you.

                    Peace.

i agree with the iceman about jose.

karmazin had no clue how to fight a southpaw. karmazin's superior size and conditioning pushed spinks to the brink of exhaustion. rivera will do the same. ouma/rivera are going to maul spinks and alcine may make it interesting.
