Errol Spence's Stock Will Drop If.......

Look at how the GGG haters claimed Brook got the best of him until the KO. They trashed him for taking the fight in the first place, even though Brook is a much larger WW than Mikey or Khan, and walks around at 175+. The bar has been set by the casuals, so if Spence doesn't KO Mikey, there are going to be the detractors who say he is a hype-job and all his opponents were bums. If he wins by a close decision, more of the same, they'll say Spence was exposed. If he loses, he better crawl under a rock.

Alright, let's be real, plenty of you guys are ready to kill Spence and drop his stock even if he wins and struggles a bit. So to you, what exactly will drop it? Loss aside, so in this hypothetical it is him winning.

Would it be if it goes to a decision? Would it be if he loses more than two rounds? What will constitute "See, I knew Spence was overrated! I knew he has a trash resume' and will get destroyed by Crawford or Thurman!"?

Personally? I see this being very competitive in the first six rounds and then Spence taking over and getting a 8th or 9th round stoppage in a good hard fought fight.

No matter what happens he’ll get trashed. I always said mikey should’ve had a few tune ups at 147 first. Even if he smashes him he’ll be trashed for fighting small guys. His best hope is that Garcia stays at 147 after and gets some noticeable wins then Spence will get eventually be given credit.

Porter hasn't even been fighting that style lately. If he tries this new style where he sits back? Mikey out boxes him fairly easy. Now, I do agree it would be interesting if Porter just tried to bully Mikey, but I tend to think that plays in Mikey's counter punching style. Spence is a pressure fighter but he doesn't go in there recklessly and works off his jab. He can at least keep Mikey at bay, while Porter is just coming with that rough wild sh^t that he typically does.

Ugas dwarfed Porter and manhandled Porter everytime Porter tried that shieet.

Porter couldn't even move Danny Garcia in the clinch.

It's also why it 'appeared' as though Porter was having stamina issues, cause he was burning energy everytime he tried to wrestle with these stronger guys, which is why he was forced to back off and box from a distance.

Brook is stronger than both DSG and Ugas and he still tried to fight his usual style against him. I really do think he's been trying to fight a bit different and trying to box more, but he's just not as effective doing that. But good point on Ugas/DSG having the strength to hold their own against Porter.

I think Spence will win every round and win by KO. If he loses more than two rounds or fails to get the KO then I will be disappointed in Spence. I don't believe there is a magical training program that can make the 31 year old Mikey better. If there was then Mikey should have gone there to train many years ago.

Mikey Garcia is talented enough to Out-Box Spence Jr, lets not make Mikey out to be just some absolute SCRUB that Spence Jr should walk through. Size wise yeah maybe he should but Skill Wise, Mikey does have the SKILLS ADVANTAGE. Only reason why I'm not going with the Upset for Mikey is because of the big Jump in weight.

Maybe if he didn't go back down to 135 for Easter and after Broner and Lipinets he took a fight at 147 vs a decent Opponent at 147 then I would be going with Mikey ALL DAY!

Nothing against Spence Jr but him, Crawford, Thurman, Porter...still have A LOT to prove. I'm done Crowning guys great fighters or this next big thing without them actually doing anything yes and also a lot of them not live up to it. Pacquiao still #1 Welterweight IMO because he is still by far "The Most Proven"

Until one of these guys actually BEAT Pacquiao, then I don't believe either are the Best at 147! I'm still fans of all those fighters but they have to PROVE it just like we asked Pacquiao and Mayweather to PROVE IT!

If I was a betting man I'd put my money on porter to beat mikey. I just don't see mikey having the physicality to hang at 147. mikey is more skilled but porter is a big welterweight.

Sure, he is big and strong. But Mikey is a great counter puncher. Porter isn't going to be able to just come in recklessly against him. And Porter for how strong he isn't really a big puncher.

If he loses or the fight goes the distance then his stock will drop. But I don't see either of those things happening.

If Spence doesn't stop him then everyone except hardcore Spence fans will say Mikey exposed Spence to a degree.
