Do you understand that the dude has only fought once since last April? ONCE! I don't care whose fault that is, he gets shyt from people for a reason. At this age and level he should be fighting 3 times a year but he seems to be leaning towards Broner's way of living with all the troubles he has been getting into lately. It's all talk and no walk. He has 21 fights under his belt but still sitting in super featherweight calling out people left and right to make his weight.
Yeah that Davis fight would be interesting for sure. I think Tank gets too much shi.t. Every time he fights he steps up and does what he is supposed to do or more so I like that about him. I wonder if he would be big enough to pose the same problems Linares and Pedrazza did, or even what weight they would fight at, or how Davis would look in there against Loma and vice versa. Just a lot of interesting angles to that fight and I would love to see it happen.Comment

Who was Lomachenko when he was put in with Salido for a WBO Featherweight title, in his 2nd fight? He was nobody, just a decorated amateur! It's good to be excited by a prospect, but let's not go nuts.
Lopez isn't really in contention, and that's why the journalists aren't asking about him.
Lopez is a hot prospect, who could go on to do great things. But he hasn't yet.
Loma needs to be looking at fighters who have proven themselves at the top. Not guys who look like they might do so one day.
Lopez is doing all the right stuff, keeping busy, looking to make his statement. If he keeps going this way, he will be on Loma's radar in a year or two.
The journalists aren't talking about it now - and neither is Loma - because it is silly to expect the P4P #1 to discuss fighting a 12 fight novice who hasn't even captured a major title. That's crack pipe stuff right there.
Lopez won't be at 135 "in a year or two!" He's already said they'll be at 140 in 2020! The fight needs to happen soon!
January 30, 2019:
"They have to decide whether he is going to fight at 135 or fight at 140. If he fights at 140, (a fight) against Jose Ramirez could be a major, major fight. If he stays at 135, then I'd like him to fight (Jose) Pedraza and if he's good with Pedraza, then fight Lomachenko. All in this year, or the beginning of next year."
The elder Lopez likes the idea.
"I want to show the world that my son can beat Lomachenko, and to do that, first (we have to) fight Pedraza," Lopez Sr. said. "So Pedraza is the next guy that I want. I want Pedraza in like June or July."

Pedraza already b*t*hed out! So make the fight! I think Loma vs. Lopez will be bigger than Crolla or Commey! This fight should happen in 2019!

You may have heard that PapaFimo barked at Team Loma at the fighters’ hotel a couple days ago. Greg Leon had deets on Boxing Talk:
“I just told them how I feel. I told them that we’re going to steal the show again and we’re coming to take his head off soon. ... He ain’t nobody man, I don’t know why people praise this guy,” said Teofimo’s dad Teofimo Senior. “This guy is terrible and everybody saw it on Saturday when he looked terrible. This guy won’t last two rounds with my son and I’ll put all my money on that. He’s too fragile for my son, and we already that they’re not going to fight us because we’re going to end his career. Top Rank would love for him to do it because it would set him up as a $50M fighter. Top Rank doesn’t need this guy. He couldn’t even sell out a 5,000 seat arena. This guy is a fake and he’s always been a fake to me. We would have killed Pedraza in one round. We’re putting Lomachenko to sleep. He’s just too small. Loma is never going to be able to beat my son. If he fights this way with my son he might get knocked out seconds into the first round. My son is going to be the best boxer in history and he’s only 21 right now and I believe he only landed with like 50-60% of his power on that shot that finished Menard off.”

By Aragon Garcia: Teofimo Lopez says he won’t be waiting for Vasyl Lomachenko to fight him beyond 2019, because he plans moving up to light welterweight [140 lbs] in 2020 to go after the world champions in that weight class. Lopez says he’s not an “opponent” type of fighter for guys like Lomachenko. Lopez (12-0, 10 KOs) says his goal isn’t to fight Lomachenko. It’s to win world titles, and Lomachenko happens to be the WBA/WBO 135 lb champion at the moment, which is why Lopez wants to fight him, but he’s not going to wait indefinitely.
Lopez’s not going to wait on a fight against WBA/WBO 135 lb champion Lomahcneko (12-1, 9 KO). If he doesn’t make the fight with him, Lopez says he’s going up to 140 to challenge the champions for all their titles. Lopez, 21, only wants the world champions...
“I’ve been at this weight for six years,” Lopez said about him fighting at lightweight [135 lbs]. “It’s not tough. It’s that I just have to be very, very disciplined. I only go up 10 or 12 pounds after camp, because if I go up too much, I know I’m not going to make 135 no more. 140? Everybody,” Lopez said when asked who he wants to fight at light welterweight when he eventually moves up in weight. “Put them in front of me, and I’ll beat them; world champions though. We are going to fight for world titles. That’s what our goal is. It doesn’t matter who it is. My goal isn’t to fight Lomachenko. My goal is fighting for the titles. So whoever has the world titles, that’s who I’m going for. I don’t have nothing against the man [Lomachenko]. Since he has the title, that’s who I have to fight,” Lopez said about Lomachenko.
Top Rank promotes the 30-year-old Lomachenko, but they can’t force him to take fights against certain guys if he and manager don’t want the match. At this stage, Lopez might be more trouble than he’s worth for Lomachenko. The Ukrainian fighter is starting to show his age in his last two fights against Jose Pedraza and Jorge Linares. Those were not easy fights for Lomachenko, and some believe that he’s starting to get old. It could be that or Lomachenko isn’t cut out to be a lightweight. If he moves back down to super featherweight, he could avoid guys like Teofimo Lopez and Mikey Garcia.

For me Loma is number 1 pfp by a pretty easy margin but I like Davis as a fighter as well and would give him a puncher's chance against Loma. I agree the nuances between the two Pedrazza fights (weight and styles Pedrazza employed) are important to factor in.Forget Gervonta Davis, he aint even close to Loma, he would not be able to become even once Olympic Champ, he is nothing, he achieved nothing, he is hiding behind Floyd's back and he's only aim is to earn money, his style is very poor and is based on primitive punches and power, the only case comparing him with Loma based on fight with Pedrasa is 100% wrong, because Pedrasa with Davis, was on a short notice, dehydrated not at his weight class, trying to brawl with Davis, where with Loma he was at his own weight, well prepared and running all night long, depriving Loma to show smth.. Davis is nobody and he and his daddy Floyd will be avoiding Loma's fight as long as possible because they both know this fight will not only influence their money flow but also will stop this hype around Gervonta, Loma would humiliate him, dismantle in 5 rounds and Floyd would never do this because of money he would lost in this case.
I think there is a good chance the fight goes similar to Loma Walters or basically anyone Loma faced besides Linares and Pedrazza. But there is also a chance Davis can do something to trouble Loma, with speed, youth and possibly size to his advantage.
I personally don't think Davis' team and probably Davis himself wants that fight right now. So not sure if and when we will ever get it. But I don't think Davis is a scrub, he handles his business when he is in the ring. Let me put it this way, if Loma schooled him like he schooled Walters that doesn't make Walters a scrub, it just shows how great Loma is.Comment

Loma is number 1 pfp for me but Lopez is too big for him man lol. That's why he has to move up asap. That fight just won't happen. He looks similar to a Canelo build to me, when he is full grown.Who was Lomachenko when he was put in with Salido for a WBO Featherweight title, in his 2nd fight? I mean a pfp list is always going to be a combination of the eye test and resume. I just think Spence is special. Every time out he does what he is supposed to do or better. That's typically how I grade guys. I also give Spence credit for destroying Algieri when Khan or Pac couldn't and for doing the same to a big WW in Van Heerden. Not exactly HOF stuff but when you put it all together it is the beginnings of a good resume.Man we don't even know if Errol is number 2 at 147...so P4P.... he's far unproven, how to see ***** in his Armor when dude is stuck in a division and his best wins are Kell brook coming off a loss followed by Peterson...
And like the dude, humble champ, but c'mon...
That's why P4P list are bullsht anyway.
I like Crawford but yeah I don't think Errol lets it go 12 rounds with David Benevidez. I just think Spence is a big talented bully at 147 and Spence would be number 1 right now at 154 too imo. Pretty obvious to me that the other guys at 147 haven't wanted anything to do with him, imo again.
Hopefully the top guys at 147 will all fight each other soon. We've gotten a few good fights at 147 recently but now the top 3 guys - Crawford Thurman and Spence all need to fight each other. I think Spence stops both but maybe I'm wrong. Hope we find out.
I know a lot of people on here hate on GGG but I view Spence as starting to do what GGG did in his career. Taking on good fighters and just smashing everyone put in front of him, while being avoided by quite a few guys as well. GGG did that for about 8-10 years Spence has been doing it for about 3-4.
If you don't rate Spence that high - what do you think happens with Crawford/Spence and Mikey/Spence? I thought I saw you have Mikey on your pfp list so you probably have that one closer than me.Comment

He think he's maxed out at 135. He's a small dude not this light-heavyweight his detractors claim him to be. I think he'd go to 140 for the right fight probably weighing 136 (perhaps if Ramirez fights the winner of the WBSS for all the belts he'd jump for that as a one-off fight it could be huge say late 2020 early 2021) and though he's better suited for 130 I think he's mainly just putting Tank on the spot with that and scaring him a little. It's going to come up soon that the only way Tank gets credibility is by going through Lomachenko.
I think Loma's 2019 is basically set out in stone: Crolla mandatory then contractually agreed WBA/WBO/IBF unification in summer and then a maiden PPV vs. Berchelt. Mikey will vacate in the meantime with Campbell-Abdullaev fight for the WBC so 2020 there's Lopez as a high profile defense with hopefully some meaningful victories behind him like Pedraza and the full unification and then for a third fight hopefully Tank has found his balls, if not then 140 could/should have an undisputed champion.
That would be great stuff and a lot of this forum would probably pick him to lose at least half (probably more) of those fights but still complain afterwards.Comment
