Being two P4P fighters is irrelevant. There are weight divisions for a reason. Just because Mikey managed to cherry pick himself a belt at 140 doesn't mean he has any chance against Spence.

No it isn't irrelevant. I think Mikey has a slim chance to win. I expect Spence to win as do most.

The thing is the TS, poster Dramashow isn't being honest about why he made this thread.

He doesn't give 2 sh-ts about mismatches when guys he likes are going to win. He celebrated GGG/brook and GGG/Vanes. He's in his feelings and made this thread because GGG got crapped on for the Brook fight, when he could've fought Jacobs or Charlo and for choosing Vanes once Canelo got caught dirty

I think we can agree those were fair criticisms.

I hate when he and other poster do the M'onique and try to make their personal butt hurt equate to real problems in society or a given industry.

You only posting this because posters criticized GGG for the Brook fight which you were very excited for. Why were you so excited for that "mismatch on paper" but are not excited for this fight, which you say is the same thing?

At least this fight has 2 men ranked in the top 6 p4p Mikey is only going up 1 weight class, not 2 like Brook.

Just stay consistent. You liked GGG/brook. You liked GGG/Vanes. This fight is better than both of them. You should be able to set aside any issue you might have now just as you did then and find a way to enjoy the fight.

Sorry to ruin the excitement but people seem to be getting caught up in the whole promo hype 'mikey sees something' 'he seems confident' etc. When it was first.rumoured it was dismissed as a freak show fight but but seems like promoters have conned people, or more likely spence fans are trying to hype mikey up.theres nothing intriguing about it apart from whether mikey manages to run and survive or whether he gets taken out early. Mikeys not even thst amazing, people talking as if its some elite superstar moving up in weight. Whos he actually beat? Hes never done anything even at the lower weights.He will get beaten, theres no ifs or buts about it cause hes half the damn size of spence, what else is there to talk about or get excited about.

So when your man crush (ggg) fights the third or fourth rated fighter from two weight classes below (and on nobodies p4p list), he’s a hero. But when Spence fights the top dog from two weight classes below (and on everybody’s p4p list) the fight is garbage?

Spence should be fighting Crawford and Mikey should be going for Undisputed with Lomachenko, both had legit fights on the table. Someones going to get seriously hurt with these "dare to be great fights". We need to stop normalizing this, especially if the fighter hasn't proven to be no.1 at their own weight class like Khan/Brook/Mikey. I'm not wishing serious harm on Mikey, I just hope Spence stops him like he did vs Ocampo so the hype for these "dare to be great fights"gets killed.
