Sorry to ruin the excitement but people seem to be getting caught up in the whole promo hype 'mikey sees something' 'he seems confident' etc. When it was first.rumoured it was dismissed as a freak show fight but but seems like promoters have conned people, or more likely spence fans are trying to hype mikey up.theres nothing intriguing about it apart from whether mikey manages to run and survive or whether he gets taken out early. Mikeys not even thst amazing, people talking as if its some elite superstar moving up in weight. Whos he actually beat? Hes never done anything even at the lower weights.He will get beaten, theres no ifs or buts about it cause hes half the damn size of spence, what else is there to talk about or get excited about.

It's a legit fight and one of the best fights right now. At least Mikey isn't the bum of the month, unlike who GGG might fight next. Mikey is a junior welter champ who will be fighting a welter in Spence, not like Brook who came up two divisions. This thread is a diversion from that GGG thread.

That’s how far Boxing has fallen. There arent many big matches lined up so people gotta talk about this one.

Dont get wrong, Dazn has good fights on the horizon but Boxing as a Whole used to be better. By spring/summer, there should be several big bouts scheduled but it’s very so so right now.

Movies get worse, music, and so does Boxing every year.

Garcia is overrated. Aside from Broner I don't think any fighter has benefited more from the 4 belt era in boxing more than Mikey has. Like Broner he's figured out how to become a multi division champion while facing no elite competition. Spence is going to absolutely murder this guy.

GGG fought in a over 30 fights where the opponent had no chance to win and you watched. Why would you not be excited about 2 undefeated top 6 p4p fighters going at it just because IYO Mikey has no chance?

You only posting this because posters criticized GGG for the Brook fight which you were very excited for. Why were you so excited for that "mismatch on paper" but are not excited for this fight, which you say is the same thing?

At least this fight has 2 men ranked in the top 6 p4p Mikey is only going up 1 weight class, not 2 like Brook.

Being two P4P fighters is irrelevant. There are weight divisions for a reason. Just because Mikey managed to cherry pick himself a belt at 140 doesn't mean he has any chance against Spence.
