This is what I recall Frank Warren sayings regarding BT Sports involvement.
"When they were putting the bid together, the offer for Joshua I helped with it... BT were very interested in broadcasting it. It wasn't about being on Sky it was about who came up with the most money."
I also recalled Eddie Hearn saying that he feltTeam Wilder planned to shop the fight in order to produce the maximum amount of revenue. In the same interview he said that if he were in their position that is what he would do.
I know that I am triangulating here, but it seems to reason that Wilder used a BT Sports estimated bid as the basis for determining how much of a guarantee they could offer Joshua. I say that based on not yet reading or hearing anyone say that the offer was contingent on the fight being broadcast on BT sports.
