Do me a favor and show me the SOP of navy law enforcement agency in the USA where it says “it’s your job to disarm subjects who are using lethal force rather than use deadly force in defense of yourself and a third person.” Show me that, oh and show me the phrase “protect and serve” in in any state penal code, code of criminal procedure, SOP, or any curriculum taught in a state or federal academy. I want to see where you are getting your information to make statements such as these....couldn’t be from tv, movies, music etc no you must have gotten a hold of such specific information through official capacity....

Thats what I'm saying! The police force is a service that is there to protect people in every other county other than the US! See in most first world countries police are highly trained personnel who you would think at the least would be capable of dealing with a situation involving a old lady with a knife without killing her??? Why is it that police in every other first world country don't have this problem? See I can't argue with you guys as you don't see anything wrong here! If your police force aren't even capable of disarming and resolving a situation involving a old lady then they are s**t! But thier job isn't to police.. Like I said the police in America are trained for policing.. They are militarised so in any situation evolving a threat they won't hesitate to kill. Just look at the stats.. Its not a good thing that US police kill many times more people than any other country. The only first world country where this is a issue is in US.

Bro no one trying hear you work in law enforcement, I’ve been pulled over a couple times so I’m speaking from experience police don’t walk up to you with taser in hand or pepper spray they have gun drawn so you can miss me with that bs 9/10 they have they hands on the most lethal weapon in arsenal whether they have it pulled out or hand sitting on top of gun ready to pull it out

Why would a cop walk up with his taser or pepper spray drawn? Those are intermediate compliance less lethal tools....if a cop clears a house, approaches a su****ious car occupied several times, etc with a less lethal weapon he or she should be sent to remedial training or fired.
My my my everyone knows how to be a cop better than the cops.....without having had to risk their lives doing the job....

The public don’t know the daily life of cops. One incident doesn’t equal or outweigh all the cops in a nation pulling people every day. Reports and incidents are recorded and analyzed.

If a cop suspects an individual, he or she proceeds with caution for the possibility of a get away. Many many many times guys pulled over escape the scene knowing they have contraband or a weapon and go into panic mode. The police know this.

If a black guy, white guy, or Hispanic guy in a hoodie gets pulled over expect the stereotype to be treated with high caution. The probability of the profile is high for many reasons to proceed with caution, and many times those being pulled over provoke cops. The law doesn’t give any favors for anybody.

Best thing to do is cooperate. How come most 99% videos of altercations are provocation?

The presumption that the police "know better" and will proctor themselves such that no one else need worry is the problem in the US. You don't have to be police to learn and understand police protocol or what the purpose of police is.

The value for human life has dropped universally for police in the US. A lot of the individuals they are allowing to become police find it easy to pull the trigger and kill mothers, sons, fathers, daughters. Armed or unarmed...serious threat or no threat.

bull**** I have been attacked with every weapon known to man never had a gun and I am still alive. if citizens followed the cops style of "defending" themselves there would be 100K people killed a day. I have been in and witnessed 100's of fights with guys with bottles chains bats etc. NOBODY got shot. US cops love to kill people

This is a sad situation but...Pulling out a knife in a threatening manner on a cop isnt exactly the brightest move in the book cmon now. Not saying she deserved to be shot but comply with the police yes sir no sir keep your hands out of your pockets and you live to see another day its really THAT SIMPLE.
