I find it hard to believe that the cops couldn't disarm her without shooting her, though. To protect life should be job #1 for them.

Killing should always be a last resort used only in the most extreme circumstances.

I would've tazed her immediately, if it was me. I think they're taught to perceive knifes as lethal force and thus they also fight with lethal force on the off chance that if someone is on meth or pain dulling drug like PCP and maybe fights through a taser(Don't quote me on that). Hard to comment without the video.

I'm guessing this lady was just a schiz. RIP to her. Plant must be one of the unluckiest guys in boxing which is saying a lot considering where a lot of guy's come from.

That's their job! Aren't they supposed to "protect and serve"! They killed an old lady instead of protecting her. The police in America isn't trained to protect, they are militarised.. That's not policing! Police in most countries make people feel safe. In the US police won't make you feel safe as they can kill you just like the bad guys.

The fact that US police can not neutralise a situation involving a old lady shows how incompetent and useless the police service in US is. No wonder even little kids are being killed by police. As soon as US police encounter a situation their only way to resolve it is to kill even if it's a old lady or kid.. SMH. Fact is more people are killed in the US by police each year than any other county including places like Iraq! 1689 people were killed by police in US in 2018.. In the same year only 6 people were killed in the UK by police. That's more people being killed per day in the US than a whole year in the UK! US police service is absolutely dreadful. The worst in the world.

Do me a favor and show me the SOP of navy law enforcement agency in the USA where it says “it’s your job to disarm subjects who are using lethal force rather than use deadly force in defense of yourself and a third person.” Show me that, oh and show me the phrase “protect and serve” in in any state penal code, code of criminal procedure, SOP, or any curriculum taught in a state or federal academy. I want to see where you are getting your information to make statements such as these....couldn’t be from tv, movies, music etc no you must have gotten a hold of such specific information through official capacity....

Human life has always been equal, however in the USA blacks have been treated like animals literally for 400 years.
