What’s the point of this thread. I seemed to have joined some race debate about white vs black crimes without really focusing on what had actually happened.

Caleb’s mom had a knife. So I’m assuming she rushed an officer or there was no way to cuff her? How did it all escalate to begin with. And furthermore, does this incident prove that American police have such ending results for any race and therefore law enforcement towards blacks are exaggerated?

Thing is. If a civilian pulls out a gun, a cop has to assume any other weapons. The likelihood of a woman pulling out a gun too, who knows. But a bipolar ex female Marine on something... for example. Anything could happen.

It’s funny, whites don’t accuse ***s, native Americans, Armenians, Kurds, etc of “victimhood”.....only black Americans. I find that particularly intersting that that word and it’s partners (aka “race baiting”, “playing the race card”, “racist!” Etc) are only used when talking about a minority group in the USA that happens to speak out about its treatment just like any other group. Sounds like deeply ingrained guilt and a sense of being threatened by that group to me.....

No, see you at this kind of thinking that gives police a bad rap. I work in law enforcement and I can tell you that for the most part cops will utilize the use of force continuum. If you don't know what that is then look it up. You don't automatically go to pulling out your gun in any scenario. Now we don't know what the details are in this story and maybe the cop was wrong and pulling his gun, but we can't automatically assume that. And, it's wrong to assume that most officers do that type of thing. Again, look up the use of force continuum and read up on that before you pass this type of judgment.

Bro no one trying hear you work in law enforcement, I’ve been pulled over a couple times so I’m speaking from experience police don’t walk up to you with taser in hand or pepper spray they have gun drawn so you can miss me with that bs 9/10 they have they hands on the most lethal weapon in arsenal whether they have it pulled out or hand sitting on top of gun ready to pull it out

Hence all the news stories in the USA regarding white individuals calling the police while spewing racist statements and getting recorded on phones doing it. There’s at least one a week. My guess is you are not from the USA, don’t live here, never have been here?
