I didn't get into black and white thing at all. But, the stats you cited are alarming, and no black person is OK with that. However, we have to take historical injustices into account, instead of making it sound as though it's all by choice.

Blacks, whites and other non-white races in the US have a big gap in terms of all life quality enhancing factors, such as education, high paying jobs, luxury homes, and so on. While whites in the States were getting ahead in every way, other races were kept down and prohibited from full participation. It takes a long time to overcome that anger and depression.

Not saying there aren't whites who are just oppressed as blacks and others.

I appreciate your engaging on the topic but I would point to a lot of poor immigrants from other countries, many even from Africa, who come to the USA and make a fabulous life for themselves and their families in one generation.

I am a firm believer that feeding a victim mentality, no matter how many obstacles are in your way, is a self-fulfilling prophecy and will only lead to a wasted life. 99% of people in the USA have the capacity to make a great life for themselves. I won't excuse someone's failures simply because they have a few obstacles in their way. We all have issues and if you are committed enough you can make a successful life for yourself and your family.

This is ******. Europeans have mixed groups of people and even anthropologists separate mixed races in Europe, enough with the “white.”

The Chinese or Asian world have been going at it with each other since the dawn of time... if you want to call them “white” so be it but they’re not.

And as far as Africa, that continent as well has a mix of black races with war within themselves. Tribal warfare has not always been diplomatic. If one tribe wipes out another that’s no different than modern crime today.

The African continent and the thousands of sub groups had ****** since the dawn of time, and when Europeans came to BUY, they were sold a plethora of ****** to take over the Atlantic.

For people to assume that Africa has always had just one ethnic group that consisted of one black look is ******ed. A Nordic man isn’t the same as a Frenchman, Spaniard or German. These people all have mixed genetics.

If you think you're a victim and the system is against you, you will never make it. If you think you can make it happen it doesn't matter how many obstacles are in your way, you will have success.

People of every background have advantages and disadvantages and to look at one group as less than and say they can't do it, I disagree with that. I expect more from them as they are as capable as anyone.

My father came to this country with not a dollar in his pocket but he got a great education and married someone before he had kids and raised his family the right way. Making good decisions is not exclusive to one group of people. We should all expect that of everyone.

Yeah some white people have done terrible things. But the current violent crime numbers in the black community are troubling and I don't see why people excuse it as acceptable.

Those immigrants are happy to be here. Amercan blacks are citizens of this country and do not need to appreciate white leftovers.

There's something called intergenerational trauma and some blacks and Natives still can't understand their treatment in the hands of whites. I work with some of those people.
