I have seen vids of cops tazering 250 pound black dudes and it stopped them no problem, so why the need to use a gun on an old Grandma?

With all due respect do you have examples to back up those claims? No he doesn't deserve to go to jail. His actions are within the legal limitations. If someone pulls out a lethal weapon and attacks a cop, he is allowed to use lethal force to stop them, irrespective or age, gender, or race.
Now I agree I wouldn't have shot her, I would have just kicked her in the chest or something. She couldn't have been that fast and she fo damn sho would have dropped the knife on her way down.
But the cop acted lawfully nonetheless and who is to say the old woman ain't a black belt or something. Cops are people too and have the right to defend themselves when threatened.
But I think people trying to compare this to black folks protests are just being incensitive. Black folk have been shot without brandishing a weapon and without attacking officers, they been shot while trying to comply with cop instructions. Some have been shot while resisting arrest, but then what do you do when you're being harassed by the cop and being arresting for just being black? Did you know that you have thr right to resist an unlawful arrest. Also some these white cops, if not harass, outright provoke black folk and then shoot them when they react to their provocation.
This is completely different to what happened to this woman. She attacked with a knife, that's just asking to get shot no matter what colour, age, or gender you are.
PS. Some of these black guys are gang****ers though, hardcore, serious criminals with no compulsion about killing people, innocent or otherwise, cop or otherwise. So it's a tricky situation, some of these cops are prob walking around terrified out their minds, but they chose the job and they been trained for it, so they just gotta do their jobs properly man.
The only story I saw where I felt remotely sorry for the guy who got shot was the guy in Chicago who was walking down the street late at night and the cop shot him. But at the same time the cops have to be very wary with all the crime committed by guys who look like that in Chicago, and we don't even know the whole story there.
When dealing with the police, defer to them and say yes sir and go on with your life. Those who try and battle the police are usually doing so because they are criminals and are about to get popped for something. This is a civilized society and we should be defending the cops for doing their job and not the criminals who refuse to act civilly.Comment

Where is that video?
If you act ****** around the police, bad things may happen to you. That's the story but some people just refuse to behave or refuse to condemn the criminals acting criminally.Comment

Exactly! Nobody here knows what the fvk happened and yet they all pick a side. Mostly blaming the pigs, as usual. First lesson in Fight Club...Don't pull a knife on a pig....It's bad for your health. Why would anyone give the cops an excuse to shoot them? We all know to not threaten them or resist arrest. Anyone who puts up a fight with the pigs is just asking for trouble. Darwinism always wins.Comment

That's not what I was talking about. I merely observed the fact that gang ****ers come from all races. I personally could care less a person's skin color.Comment

Don’t really trust statistics furnished by institutions (especially not those linked to the Government).
Almost Everything has political motivations, especially statistics. What u cited was probably the same statistical source that states every year that the Black community is being ravaged by HIV/Aids. But I’ve been Black on the planet for 41 years and never been to a Aids funeral, nor do I know anyone who has.
We have much bigger issues than arguing over who’s getting shot the most.Comment

The bold: That's called racial profiling. It's illegal. With all due respect do you have examples to back up those claims?

Yeah but you and others on here are saying that blacks are picked on by the system and when I see that 2% commits 50% I wonder why that doesn't bother everyone and why we aren't all rioting over that?Comment

It's just pattern recognition. That's how people survive and evolve. If 100 dudes in my town looked like me and were going around committing crimes I wouldn't be pissed at anyone else for looking at me su****iously. You have to recognize patterns that like to survive and evolve.Comment

I'm pretty sure it's gay people who are overwhelmingly the ones with HIV and the black population is hit higher than average with those numbers. Only notable dude I can recall with HIV recently was Bishop LongStroke in Atlanta who is black.Don’t really trust statistics furnished by institutions (especially not those linked to the Government).

How do you sincerely feel about the fact that black men between 18-40 comprise 2% of the US population yet commit 50% of the violent crime in the country? Do you feel that is a problem? Or do you not believe that one either.Comment
