Why does GGG need a “tuneup” fight ? He should fight Andrade next.

He could fight Andrade but he is almost 37 and will have a hard time getting the win over Canelo in Vegas where they are notorious for being very generous to Canelo on the scorecards. He will fight a tune up fight with a safe opponent so he will be as fresh as possible for Canello 3 months latter. He doesn't want the wear and tear of fighting a top middleweight like Andrade at this time. Canelo will be fighting a tough guy in Jacobs but he should because he is the champ and has an obligation to fight the best. GGG is no longer champ and has no such obligation so he should do everything possible to increase his chances of beating Canelo. It's his last chance at it. He has a three year contract with DAZN and can fight Andrade after he fights Canelo.Comment

Don't know if he needs a tune up, but usually when you sign a star to a new TV deal, you want to make sure they at least win the first fight. Doubt DAZN would want Andrade to be the first opponent.Comment

Too much risk. There's another Canelo payday at stake here. Andrade would be a very tough opponent for GGG.Comment
