Comments Thread For: Canelo: Always Liked Big Challenges, Jacobs Fight No Exception

Barely two months after conquering New York, Saul Canelo' Alvarez took to the city that never sleeps to promote his next big adventure. The reigning World middleweight king and unified titlist joined IBF 160-pount beltholder Daniel Jacobs in New York City last Tuesday for the first leg of a three-city press tour for their May 4 collision at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

There are few top level performers and fewer elites in boxing or in any other field. Neither Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, or anyone else fought top level fighters every time. The list of forgettable boxers the ATG’s fought is a lot longer than the list of top ranked fighters. Think about it, it must be true by definition. So rail against Joe Louis, Carmen Basilio, Ray Leonard, Hagler and all the other legends as well.

"His lone defeat since returning to the ring in 2012 came in a narrow points loss to Golovkin, a March ’17 affair which many have argued should have gone to Jacobs."

Wonder why this isn't considered controversial?

These dim bulbs can’t help themselves. Canelo is has money beyond imagining, loads of beautiful women, the finest cars, prized horses, on his ranch, mansions in the U.S. and Mexico and these keyboard warriors do not. I believe it is called “envidia.”
