Shelley Finkel: "latest offer from Eddie hearn is not worth reply"

no he did give a straight answer and specifically said 40% and he'd offered a SPLIT.Hearn says a lot of **** in public that doesn't hold up.
There's a difference between 40% on a fight, and 40% of the fee that DAZN is willing to pay on the fight for the US rights.
I don't like their style, but Boxing Voice asked him, point blank, about the split and he couldn't give a straight answer.
he specifically said that, even nestor shut up about itComment

Again doe I ask what will your stance be when Joshua vs Wilder happens next year since Wilder is supposedly scared or a coward today. Cuz as long as both keep winning they will...and hell even if one or both lose I suspect its still a strong possibility for 2020.
The reality is this is mostly business, not sport, for both these guys. Fear & that sh^t ain't got nothing to do with nothing unless you're a fanboy of either guy.Comment

Nes is an idiot. If Nes can fold you on giving a straight answer as a professional boxing promoter doing multimillion deals thats not a good sign.
Randomly I can't listen to TBV at all anymore. Nes is ******ed & argues with everyone about dumb sh^t too much. Respect on their popularity doe. Can't f#ck with their work ethic & that the people do love them.Comment

You're right. Wilder has never wanted it and somehow manages to wriggle out of dangerous fights and always blames the other side. Worst WBC champion ever.Comment

Pay attention to the words that Eddie Hearn uses, lol
40% of DAZN's assumed fee; the DAZN fee was what was to be split.
There's a difference between a 60/40 split, and what Hearn is even boasting publicly (nevermind the fee that he was still offering to Wilder as recent ago as Alvarez-Fielding).Comment

Don't let the words confuse you.
Eddie Hearn, on social media anyway, railed about "where's the contract?" yet got enough information on a proposed fight that he went to Joshua's camp with a "fight Wilder in the US on his deal or try to bring him to the UK on a revised deal" choice.
With it was called a term sheet, proposal, draft, 'Wilder email', or whatever, Eddie Hearn spun his emphasis on the word 'contract' to trick folks out of seeing him looking to maybe set up a deal.Comment

Hearn may end up giving Wilder 50% when it's all said and done. But that still doesn't excuse the lies, delusion, smearing, and cowardice of Wilder and all his fans. When your average is about 1.6 Mill a fight and you can't sell tickets but think you deserve about 50 Mill? Yeah, that's grotesque no matter which way you look at it.Again doe I ask what will your stance be when Joshua vs Wilder happens next year since Wilder is supposedly scared or a coward today. I'm surprised you're cool with the way Wilder and his fans have gone about all this. But if you want to feel like that, then don't expect me to view you as fair and decent.Comment

June 1 will be very interesting. It'll be the first time Joshua fights in America. It'll be the first time he has to file a purse with a commission in a country where the filed purse is public information.Hearn may end up giving Wilder 50% when it's all said and done. Fans are always comparing Joshua's purses to Wilder's purses. I've seen some here say the filed purses aren't true. I have no idea if that's true. I've seen some here say Joshua makes ten times more than Wilder. I have no idea if that's true.
Joshua and Wilder are both fighting in New York next though. Wilder's purse will probably be his usual 2 million or maybe 3 million. But will Joshua's be the 30 million that's always claimed? I guess we'll find out.Comment

Fair & decent have lil & sometimes nothing to do with business. Your naive if you think it does.Hearn may end up giving Wilder 50% when it's all said and done. And Hearn knows & employs that into his strategies & offers as well. There is no good guy or bad guy here. In boxing you're worth whatever you can get & Wilder being arguably #2 (I consider him #3 post-Fury) at HW gives him a certain leverage in negotiations just like Joshua's numbers give him the power he has.Comment
