I'm on the fence with this. On one hand, it was a boxing match, but on the other hand, mcgregor isn't really a pro boxer.

Just seems like a really cheap way to eclipse Marciano's record.

If he lost would it have counted?

I'll never count it, and it should never have been sanctioned.

This was just and literally an exhibition
Floyd carried him untill he cashed in on his over under wager
It took him about a minute to wrap it up
Fughin joke , can’t believe that’s how he wants to go out and eclipse Marciano’s record

Absolutely, why wouldn't it? Does Ramon Aramburu count on JCC's record? Dude was 0-1 and JCC was Super LW champion in his prime.

SSR before fighting Chocolatito fought three consecutive fights against fighters making their debuts. Should they not count on his record?

And McGregor showed in the Floyd fight that he has real talent as he made a good account for himself.

And if he lost , I wouldn’t count it either

Not hating the man but the actual exhibition as a whole

Mcregor had a license and it was sanctioned.

TBF Mcgregor would have beaten plenty of pro boxers, nobody at the top level obviously but plenty of record padders whos names you often see

Why shouldn't it? what's the difference between this and fighters fighting people who never fought before to pad their records early on in their careers? Floyd became a world champ in his 18th pro fight and has been fighting champions ever since, what difference does it make if it was his 19th fight?

It was a sactioned fight with a retired boxer who wasn't a champion anymore and a 29 year old much bigger fighter. The fight definitely counts.

It was a sanctioned bout it, it counts. The fight on new years was an exhibition and that didn't count. The obsession to discredit Floyd's career is one of the saddest things Ive ever seen watching sports.
