No, of course the punches can't be looked at independently of the fight, but they still often provide a decent guideline, and are an extra tool that can be used. More often than not they give some idea of how the fight went, even if they ain't 100% reliable.
And well. As I've pointed out today already, scoring is subjective - you say Lara win 7, I saw Castano win 7. The judges were split 3 ways... a draw ain't a bad result.
am not mad at the score. I just can't believe Lara didn't do more in those last two rounds. It was a good scrap.
