Enough of this boring fighter in the name of Lara. This kind of boxer made boxing less attractive by keep getting a decision with their boring boxing style...

I wanted to lay some coin down but I really thought the odds were horrible
First they had it wide for Lara and I thought it would get better but nope
But I do know all books were not to sure how to wage this fight
Plus was worried Lara would get the nod only because I believe their trying to pump him up after his last fight
They figure he can’t run anymore , so might actually fight but as we seen tonite , that is not the case

good post my sentiments exactly. I'm sick & tired of Lara getting gifted rds because he/his fans cry so much about him supposedly getting robbed, hes a very skillful fighter but he is boring af, & I honestly can't see what fight some people are watching when they say he won this. Compubox says it all yet again Laras not nearly active enough to have earned 6 rds,he went back to his boringass ways most this fight & its pitiful that Castano has to rematch him again instead of lara retireing.

I don’t score fights watching them live. But I felt Lara was ahead 6-4, maybe 7-3 heading into the championship rounds. And I thought he clearly lost the final two rounds. So I have no issues with the decision.

Either way, I think this fight is confirmation that age is catching up with Lara. He can no longer move for three minutes of every round. And even though he’s highly skilled and good defensively. The difference between him and a guy like Floyd is that Lara’s movement is his defense. Opposed to a guy like Floyd that was able to stand right in front of guys and make them miss in the pocket. Lara is still good. But I think it was made very clear tonight that his days as the class of the 154lb divisions are clearly over. And I really don’t have much interest in seeing him in a rematch with Hurd. That said, I salute him on an excellent career.

I agree , always thought he would change his ways cause the mofo is fughin talented
And cause their was a belt on the line , I figured he’d get the nod and blah blah , so they could set something up for him
But fugh compubox , he won this fight in my eyes
I would of been pissed if I did lay money down

Castano won 7-5 or 8-4 to me. Honestly Lara is boring and i can't care less about his skills, if you want to dethrone the champion you have to try to take the belt from the champion and Lara did not tried to do it at all......ever the same Lara when he fights someone brave and aggressive said that Castano not only dictated the pace and controlled the fight, he was the best man with the beat shots, period.
