And for KO punchers, stamina is EVERYTHING because it's HARD WORK to knock out top opponents! They need a full tank of gas to put that work in, to follow up with combinations when their opponent is hurt, to keep the pressure and output high to fatigue their opponent since fatigue is what causes knockouts even more than power does. In other words they need to OUTLAST their opponents in wars every time and that's a lot of work especially if it's a top opponent! Once that stamina goes, so do the KOs. Just look at Pacquiao. By age 33, the KOs disappeared even though he still had elite speed and very good power! Yet what was missing? The stamina, the punch output to keep beating his opponent up round after round punch after punch until they couldn't stand up to it anymore.

GGG and Kovalev also stopped getting many KOs once they hit that age and the stamina left. Many others as well. Well, Ortiz is like 10 years older than them... lol. And we know he ain't getting decisions over Wilder in the US, or AJ in the UK or the US, so what exactly is the point of watching him fight those guys if he doesn't have the stamina to get the KO anymore, but the sport is too corrupt for him to get the decision?
Not sure what fight you are talking about, but Thompson didn't go 12 with Ortiz. I was at that fight, Ortiz put him down in the first, beat him all around the ring for a few rounds and KO'd him in the 6th

After watching this fight Joe Joyce and his team might look to fight Ortiz next.

Ortiz still deserves the Wilder rematch. I know he'd probably get KO'd again but I'd much rather see Wilder fight Ortiz than Breazeale.

Joe Joyce gets KO'd if he fights Ortiz. I'd rather see Christian Hammer vs Joyce. 50-50 fight imo.

Cause Joyce is garbage. Incredibly slow and wide open for counters. Ortiz would **** him up.

He is defensively liable. But I guarantee he'll set a pace that Ortiz won't be able to handle and he'll end up folding. Ortiz slowed down big time towards the end of this fight and this was a slow fight against Hammer.

Maybe a few years ago, Ortiz connected with Hammer but never really buzzed him, Joyce's chins' solid and he's a pressure fighter.
And then Ortiz just walked into straight rights all night too?!

Would make a good close fight but nothing for Joe to be scared of at all..

                      those days are evidently gone
