Any fight between a PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy, fighter. Its ultimately the networks that stop the fights from happening. He should be the last person to call out others over it.

So, we jump on these forums and see the phrase "duck" thrown around a lot. Now 99.9% of the time it's just childish, emotional, troll worthy banter. However, fighters ducking fights do happen, and the reasons as to why, the fighter ducked, doesn't change the fact that it happened.

A duck that no one ever speaks of, which I find pretty funny, is Marcos Maidana. Maidana agreed in principle to fight an opponent named Keith Thurman, however, when Maidana was brought in to sign the contract, he was shown a video of Thurman, and immediately refused to sign the contract. There is no duck in the history of the sport as blatant as this.

Next is Kovalev. Kathy Duva went and petitioned the WBC to make Kovalev the mando to Stevenson. The WBC obliged. A deal could not be made and the WBC ordered a purse bid, Duva pulled out. This is a different type of "duck", but a "duck" none the less.

Athony Joshua. This is a bit funnier, because I believe as in Kovlevs case AJ wanted the fight, but for the mere fact that he made a specific request coupled with a guarantee, he makes this list. Requested 50 million and said he'd sign the next day, was offered 50 million and then some, yet he did not except, and gave what the vast majority of pundits and fans view as an illegitimate excuse.

Basically had the rematch contract in his hands, and decided to sign with a rival promotion, that to this date has still not worked directly with PBC. but not only that, the Contract that was eventually offered to Wilder (5 fight deal included) was said to be less lucrative for Fury compared to the offer he walked away from.

There are different way to "duck", signing a less lucrative contract with a rival is definitely one of them.

For the Record I didn't include Pac, because I ain't getting in to all that with his fans.
