Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz: Wilder Rematch is Fight To Make - The Fans Want It

Exciting heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz is back in action this Saturday night, when he faces former world title challenger Christian Hammer in a 10-round contest at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In the main event, Ortiz's countryman and former world champion Erislandy Lara will collide with WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Brian Castano.

      Rather that than Dominic Breazele.

I can't get over how he stunk the place out vs AJ.

On one side its an ok fight.

On the other Ortiz fought a top 100, guy and a top 200 guy to get another shot which is awful in any ones book. It'll make the WBC look like more of a joke. Wilder defenses against his mandatory s are particularly non existent.

He fought a voluntary against Fury and then got a special get out of jail free card for the rematch but this is getting ridiculous.

WILDER V wHYTE would be great , two loud mouths, Whyte likes to engage , UK vs US but if not just do Brezeale or manadatory is a joke.

As for 2nd mandatory ..... you'ed be lucky to get a fight in six years if you won that.

Ortiz should be fighting AJ, but apparently is too dangerous.

Ortiz vs Hammer is ok, but not exciting. I wish Ortiz was fighting Whyte instead, or someone like Parker.

Wilder may as well fight Breazeale since he is the mandatory, since Fury chickened out.

You and me both, but if it was up to me we’d have Wilder/Breazele and Joshua/Pulev next just so we never have to hear those mandatories named ever again.

Hell, do it on the same card so I can find something better to do that night

That fight could very well happen, if there is no Wilder vs Fury fight or a Joshua vs Wilder fight; Then I say why the Hell not? Let's do this.

Even though it is the most competitive fight that can be made for Wilder outside of Fury and Joshua, I cannot see them taking that risk before fighting Fury or Joshua.
