Im not a HUGE Canelo fan but the kid does fight the best i was really surprised he took DJ fight in may.But i don't think he would fight Kov no matter what he says and i don't blame him he is a natural 160pder now(coming up from 154)and 175 even vs a slightly faded version of Kov is a step too far.Just stay at 160(like Loma I don't think he has body for a lot of weight jumping which is fine as its overrated)and clean house if he can. That would be MUCH more impressive anyways if he can clean up div and beat whoever else shows up.Just like Hagler and like i said jumping up div cherry picking titles(Broner)is WAY overrated. Not that Kov would be cherry picking but i just don't see it unless Kov fades a lot more.

Kovalev is not going to like Canelo's body punching, especially if he's still on that vodka

Give Me Canelo ALL DAY! Like I posted about Anthony Yarde fighting Kovalev...the Secret is out, HE (Kovalev) CAN'T TAKE IT TO THE BODY and Canelo again is a VICIOUS BODY PUNCHER as well

I LOVE Canelo chances in this one and I think he probably make it look easy to be honest as crazy as that sounds

Kovalev got the win vs Alvarez but still looks very vulnerable despite winning. Whoever gets to Kovalev first probably beats him regardless if it is Bivol, Yarde or even Canelo moving up

Would you be willing to bet actual money on this, with me?
            Kovalev will absolutely destroy him.

As another poster mentioned, Kovalev isn't what he used to be, despite looking good in his last fight. I like Kovalev and think he deserves a big payday before finally retiring. Canelo fight would do that for him.

It won't happen for a while and, in the meantime, some journeyman coming out of nowhere might upset Kovalev.

Kova would have to knock him out. And he's getting long in the tooth for that. He'll be 36 this April. That's the right age in Canelo's mind.

Betting against Canelo is just giving your money away.

                    - -Maybe not today, but picking a spot 2 yrs down the road, it'd be a huge money fight for Kov and potentially Canelo Could take it.

Good promo for the future of boxing
