Joe needs a fight soon. His last 'real' fight was 6 months ago against Whyte. He should fight Pulev next.

This sounds like bull****. He could have started training a long time ago and left Higgins to finalise the details. Higgins mentioned in a previous interview Chisora had already started training for the fight, no reason Parker couldn't have to.

Even we've known about this fight for a long time, its not like Whyte/Parker when they done the deal on the spur of the moment.

Parker could fight Povetkin or Ortiz or whomever, but he needs to iron out the indecision in his game.

If he doesn't start winning fights soon, and convincingly, he will soon end up a footnote fighting as a gatekeeper/journeyman.

What about Chisora vs Izu Ugonoh?

Ugonoh made a huge step facing Breazeale and we know what happened. I don`t believe he wants any top 20 fighter any time soon.

Parker is most certainly at a crossroad, you are 100% correct. He needs a legit win, or he needs to just enjoy being the biggest draw in a small pond ( no offense intended Australia, I only mean in ratings and money as compared to other markets). If it be Chisora, Tyson Fury, Ortiz, or whoever he needs to win.
